There is a LOT to Celebrate this weekend at Anderson Sports and Entertainment Center!

🎈Kick off your Labor Day Weekend with Hot Air Affair Rising Above Cancer starting TONIGHT.
🚗Rev up your engines for the Celebrate Anderson Jeep Extravaganza on Sunday morning starting at 10:00am.
🪩Sunday night, join us for Celebrate Anderson: Kool & the Gang for disco fun for the whole family! The show concludes with the Upstate's largest Labor Day Weekend fireworks show!

Road Closures will be in effect for pedestrian safety. Starting Friday, Camson Road between Jim Ed Rice Parkway and MLK Boulevard will be closed and Woodcrest Drive will be closed from MLK Boulevard to Old Country Farm Boulevard. This will be in effect all weekend.

Beginning Sunday, full event road closures will be in effect, noted in the map below. Please follow the instructions of the officers, staff, and digital signage directing you towards event parking.

Stay safe ☀️

🌡️ Stay Safe in the Heat:
High temperatures combined with humidity can be life-threatening. Know the signs of heat exhaustion and heat stroke (see infographic).
If you or someone near you is experiencing confusion, rapid pulse, or stops sweating—call 9-1-1 immediately.

💧 Tips to Stay Cool:
✅ Stay hydrated – drink water often, even if you’re not thirsty.
✅ Avoid prolonged outdoor activity during peak heat (11 AM – 6 PM).
✅ Seek shade or air conditioning whenever possible.
✅ Never leave children or pets in vehicles.

🎶 Attending Rock the Country in Anderson this Weekend?
With thousands expected outdoors, it’s crucial to prepare:
• Bring a reusable water bottle – hydration stations will be available.
• Wear light-colored, breathable clothing and sunscreen.
• Know where medical tents and cooling areas are located.
• Look out for fellow concert-goers showing signs of heat illness.

‼️ONE WEEK until fans start to load in for Rock the Country. We can't wait to welcome them into our community.

🪧 Business owners: you can pick up a welcome sign from the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce and a guide on how to best connect with fans who are visiting the Upstate. We are also encouraging businesses to share WELCOME ROCK THE COUNTRY FANS messaging on their digital signage.

Last year's event surpassed a $15M economic impact, according to a study completed by Clemson University. We would love to share these opportunities to encourage fans to visit your businesses and look forward to one of the biggest weeks in tourism!
