Happy Sunday! Or should I say, “Sundae”?🍨🍦
As promised, here are the details from the Minnie Mouse Ice Cream themed party at Trowbridge's Ice Cream!
🍨 This location is often packed with customers. If you’ve ever been, you know! It was established in 1918, so it’s over 100 years old and such a cute place for this style of party. Space is limited and when it comes to private parties, there’s only a 30 minute set up in between bookings. So since there wasn’t a whole lot of space for a big backdrop and balloon decor with the amount of guests this party might have been expecting, I had to get a little creative with what to do to make this party look like a fully decorated party.
🌸 Sooo, when in doubt… go all out. (Meaning, doing a lot of work by hand lol) Besides the main focal point of the balloons/banner, I knew I was going to have to get crafty to really show off all of the pink girly vintage theme. In comes the handmade decor!
🍦I found Trowbridge’s current menus online and recreated them in our perfectly pink Minnie’s Main Street Ice Cream theme. Typed every item by hand, and added in a cute little section for the birthday girl’s milestones. After creating the entire menu, I thought it’d be fun to add a little mini ice cream flavor menu to our flower vases for easy viewing and selection and adding more pink to the tables. This place has 20+ ice cream flavors, it’s sooo hard to choose from but it’s sooo good! (So is the food, I’ve been needing more chicken salad ever since)
🎨Personalized some pink and blue Minnie and Mickey activity sheets for the kids to color and some soda jerk hats decorated with pink and blue Minnie and Mickey ice cream shop stickers to give out as favors.
💕 It was so much fun getting to create it all and I had 3 (of 4) of my amazing kids there to help me set up as quickly as possible so I could focus on getting the balloons up and getting everything else ready before party time. Don’t worry, they were paid(in cupcakes and ice cream)! 🧁🍦Even though the 4th was too little to do some real work, he still got paid too… it’s hard work being that cute. He attacked my cupcake… looking forward to that smash cake when that first birthday rolls around.
Special thank you to Trowbridge’s! The owner, Pam, and her sweet employees were so nice to work with and so incredibly kind! Also, another special thank you to Newton's CakePad for the delicious cupcakes and for delivering and even setting them up for me on the stand, you guys saved me so much time! I really appreciate your kindness!
