I know it's October, but I'm actually a little late posting, given the planning and sourcing it takes for Christmas clients.

🎄There are three packages to choose from anywhere from using what you already own, to a completely new design, as well as a la carte options for you to choose from.

🎄🎄 My available time slots go quickly, especially the week of and the week after Thanksgiving, so don't wait!

If you’re new around here, welcome to The Daylily Cottage! 🌿And if you’ve been here for a while…you may have noticed that things have changed a little over the past couple of years.

The Daylily Cottage has grown and evolved, and today I’m primarily a studio-based wedding and event floral designer specializing in flowers that feel thoughtful, garden-inspired, & romantic.

So, what exactly does that mean?

🌿 Weddings
I offer both full-service and a la carte wedding florals, from bridal bouquets and personals to ceremony installations, reception flowers, statement pieces, and all the beautiful details in between.

🌿 Events
I create florals for bridal showers, luncheons, dinner parties, corporate & business events, galas, & celebrations of all kinds. And yes, I’m available to travel for events!

🌿 Seasonal Experiences
I still love teaching and creating, which is why I offer seasonal floral workshops.

🌿 Holiday Decorating
I also take on a select number of holiday clients for those who want their homes to feel extra special for fall and Christmas.

You may remember when The Daylily Cottage offered Bouquet Club, daily flower deliveries, & more traditional retail floral services. Those chapters were wonderful, but over time I realized that my heart—and my creativity—were leading me somewhere different.

There is no retail storefront open to the public. Instead, my studio is where I design, create, dream, and prepare flowers for my clients.

And one thing that hasn't changed?

I still believe flowers should feel like YOU.

I love getting to know my clients, understanding their style & personality, and creating something that feels intentional rather than simply pulling something together. I want to know what you love, how you envision your day, and then turn those ideas into flowers that make you proud.

So if you're planning a wedding, hosting an event, planning a special celebration, dreaming about a seasonal workshop, or wanting your home transformed for the holidays…I'd love to create something beautiful for you.

We had so much fun at the Pumpkins + Petals Workshop this morning Grit + Grind Coffee Andalusia.

I demonstrated step by step how to create a beautiful pumpkin arrangement and these ladies did an incredible job! They were all so beautiful!

🍂This year's fall front porch. 🍂

I finally got everything finished up just in time for October to roll in.

I used all natural dried elements this year, including limelight hydrangeas, oak leaves, corn stalks, Spanish moss, amaranth, dried flowers, and some preserved and tinted oak leaves by Knud Nielsen Co . (You can shop their products at Hobby Lobby, wholesale through Faire or bulk wholesale directly through them).
And the DIY wreath turned out how I wanted it to...it complements the arch so well.

In a lot of ways, my porch is more simple this year ...I didn't add tons of mums and plants like I usually do. You might disagree with me since the installation around the door is more elaborate...but I thoroughly enjoyed myself (I could actually picture something like this for a fall wedding arch if I added some florals in too.)

Can you believe that tomorrow is October??? So crazy how this has flown by!
