A busy Blackout Wednesday at The Highview! A Thanksgiving Eve Tradition!
During tonight's edition of The Kick Out, yours truly, Never Wrong Nick Bull was telling a story about Thanksgiving and Wrestling. The Show, abruptly ended, in mid story.
I'm using this platform to finish that story, but more importantly, to say, Happy Thanksgiving from The Crew. We are grateful and appreciative for the opportunity to do the show and hang with fans at different indie shows. The friendships that we've made along the way have been the best! Once again, thanks for listening, like, supporting, sharing, sponsoring and all other things that can be done. Thank You!
Back to the story that Never Wrong was telling on The Kick Out earlier tonight. Nick was saying that he found a FB post talking about how a wrestling fan on Thanksgiving Eve always watches Starrcade 1983 A Flare For The Gold. The show is the very first Starrcade and for that day was loaded with talent from top to bottom. Some memorable matches from the show including Ric Flair vs Harley Race for the NWA World Heavyweight Champion in a Steel Cage and the iconic Roddy Piper vs Greg The Hammer Valentine Dog Collar Match. Plenty of big show fight and feel with backstage interviews and multiple big names involved in the coverage.
Do yourself a favor and watch it, tonight on Thanksgiving Eve. Make it your Thanksgiving Wrestling Tradition (or a Survivor Series if that is more you're thing), and appreciate a wrestling show or shows from over 35 years ago! Happy Thanksgiving! Sitting here tonight in The Highview Lounge realizing this is my 3rd Year in a row watching Starrcade '83 on Thanksgiving Eve. 😎
