Ames Choral Society The Ames Choral Society encourages participation in fine choral music since our founding in 1964.

Singers from the Ames area unite to sing diverse, high quality choral literature, to build community, and to give and receive joy through singing. The Ames Choral Society encourages participation in fine choral music. Since 1964 men and women from Ames and the surrounding area have been creating a community of spirit and joy, singing diverse, high quality secular and sacred choral literature: folk

songs, spirituals, musical theater selections, and larger works. In recent years, we have performed Haydn's The Seasons, Handel's Messiah, When Icicles Hang by John Rutter, Vivaldi's Magnificat, Cantata 140 (Wachet auf) by Bach, Hanukkah songs, and music by Iowans and/or about Iowa.

We hope you all will consider joining us tomorrow night for our first rehearsal for the Flag Day concert. It's tomorrow night, June 1st, at 7:15 p.m. at St. Andrew's Lutheran Church, 209 Colorado Avenue. No membership fee or audition necessary! The more, the merrier!

We will be singing with the Ames Municipal Band for its Flag Day concert on June 11 at Ames Bandshell Park! And YOU are welcome to join us!
