Right now, everything is waiting.

The props are set. The lights are programmed. The rabbit has absolutely no idea he’s working tonight.

Soon Kendra and Cacy will arrive. The popcorn will start popping. The front doors will open.

People will wander through the Museum of Magic & Oddities, find their seats and wonder exactly what they’ve gotten themselves into.

Then, at 7:00, the lights go down.

And for the next 90 minutes, people get to forget about everything else for a while.

They’ll laugh. They’ll get fooled. Some will become part of the show. And somebody will probably spend the drive home trying to explain something that simply doesn’t make sense.

There are still seats waiting for tonight.

So don’t cook. Don’t spend Friday night scrolling through Netflix trying to decide what to watch.

Come do something different tonight.

A little magic happened on the OUTSIDE this week. 🎩

For the past year, we’ve put a lot of love into creating something special inside Amarillo Magic Co. — the theatre, the Museum of Magic & Oddities, the Magic Shop, the lounge, and all those little details that make a visit here an experience.

We finally decided the outside needed to give you a hint of what was waiting inside.

New window graphics. A completely new entrance. New lighting. A little color. And, hopefully, a lot more personality.

A huge thank you to Will at The VThe Vinyl Garagetaking our ideas and helping bring this transformation to life.

He did a fantastic job with the new perforated window and door graphics, and we couldn't be happier with how everything came together.

There’s still always something changing around Amarillo Magic Co.

But now, when you pull into the parking lot, it looks a little more like Amarillo’s Home of Magic. 🎩

🎩 There’s a moment every Friday that Kyle still loves.

It happens before anyone arrives.

The theatre is empty. The lights are set. The props are ready. The rabbit is probably doing something he shouldn’t be doing.

For a few minutes, it’s completely quiet.

Then 6:30 arrives.

The doors open. Kendra and Cacy welcome everyone in. Popcorn starts popping. People explore the Museum of Magic & Oddities.

Then those 25 seats begin to fill.

At 7:00, the lights go down.

And that quiet little room comes alive.

Tonight, we get to do just that.

🌙 It’s almost midnight at Amarillo Magic Co.

The theatre is dark.

The chairs are empty.

The props are put away.

Kendra and Cacy have gone
home.

Even the rabbits have called it a night.

But somewhere around here, Kyle is still thinking about tomorrow.

A line in the show that could be better.

A piece of music that needs adjusting.

A trick that’s been performed hundreds of times—but could still be just a little stronger tomorrow night.

That’s the funny thing about putting on a show.

It’s never really finished.

Tomorrow night, the lights will come on. The props will come back out. The popcorn will start popping. Kendra and Cacy will open the doors.

And eventually 25 empty chairs will become 25 opportunities to make somebody laugh, wonder, remember—or stare at Kyle like he’s just lost his mind.

Then at 7:00, we’ll do what we do.

Because before we head to Tulia Saturday and Colorado next week, we have one more Friday night at home.

So if you're still awake scrolling Facebook at midnight…

We get versions of this question all the time.

It’s my wife’s birthday…
We’re celebrating our anniversary…
My friend is visiting from out of town…

Our answer?

An emphatic YES. 😂

One of the advantages of seeing a show in a little 25-seat theatre is that you’re not sitting in row 37 hoping somebody notices you.

You’re part of the room.

And if you let us know you’re celebrating something—or there’s someone in your group who would REALLY enjoy becoming part of the show—we’re usually more than happy to help make that happen.

We can't promise exactly what Kyle will do with them…

Frankly, that’s part of the fun. 😉

THIS ONE MAKES US ESPECIALLY PROUD.

Of course we love hearing someone call the show “intimate and personal” with “real jaw dropping stuff.”

But there’s another part of this review that means even more to us.

G specifically mentioned the “girls doing the Front of House stuff” and called them “really Top Notch.”

That’s Kendra and Cacy.

If you’ve been to Amarillo Magic Co., you already know that the experience doesn't begin when Kyle walks onto the stage.

It begins when you walk through the front door.

Kendra and Cacy welcome you, show you around, share some of our family’s magical history, tell you about the strange and wonderful things in the Museum of Magic & Oddities, help you get settled—and make you feel like you’re a guest in our home. Because you are!

That matters to us.

We’re incredibly proud of the little cast and crew that makes Amarillo Magic Co. what it is. The magic may happen onstage, but the experience takes all of us.

🎩 Well… today has turned into quite a day for Amarillo Magic Co.

And now the Amarillo Globe-News has shared the story of our first year!

32 states.
12 countries.
And countless friends, families and neighbors from Amarillo and communities all across the Texas Panhandle.

That last part means an awful lot to us.

When we opened our little 25-seat theatre, our goal was to create something special right here at home—a place where families could make memories, couples could enjoy a night out, and people of all ages could experience a little wonder together.

Over the past year, Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle have embraced us, told their friends about us, brought their families, celebrated birthdays and anniversaries with us, and kept coming back.

And because of that support, something pretty amazing has happened.

People from across Texas, 32 states and 12 countries have started finding us too.

We love that visitors are discovering Amarillo Magic Co. when they come to our city. But we're especially proud that our neighbors helped create something worth traveling to see.

That's a pretty great story for Amarillo.

Thank you to the Amarillo Globe-News for sharing it—and thank you to everyone who has walked through our doors during this incredible first year.
