Koncept Nation, how we doin’?!?! The sand is just about gone in the hourglass known as 2024, and there’s only one fitting way I can think of to collectively say ‘adios’ & welcome 2025…at the Trianon Bar & Grille in Altoona, PA!!! I’ll be pulling hosting duties for the annual NYE Bash, starting at 9:00 PM. Tunes, karaoke, Penn State in the CFP, hot dogs/pork/kraut at 10:00 & a champagne toast for the ball drop at midnight. So come out, get there early & help us celebrate another year gone by & the excitement of another year to look forward to! And the most important part of this post: IF you are choosing to drink tonight, PLEASE 🙏 have a plan in place to ensure you get home safely to your loved ones…get a responsible DD, Uber, Lyft. Have a great time tonight, no matter where you are, but do it safely & responsibly. Love y’all & here’s to 2025!!!

Friday evening I held my 2024 Koncept For Kids Toy Drive at the local Knights Of Columbus 551 (Altoona, PA). Special thanks goes to: all who made physical or monetary donations; my “elves” Christine Hannon (for shopping & for crafting the sign & NOT using too much glitter lol) & Renee Curry; Terry Anderson at the Knights for working with me on the rental space; & Santa Claus himself (Charlie Gibbons) for being so amazing with the kiddos. Though we had a few parents & their kids come through, it was far from the response I was hoping for. However, God works in mysterious ways (and I was able to spend extra time with my wife & son ❤️) As we had an abundance of toys left from the drive, we were able to privately help out a couple families who have been dealt a tough hand this holiday season. Furthermore…I, along with my best friend Jarett, made a special trip over to Pittsburgh Saturday morning & with a huge timely assist to a great man & friend Martin Garrett (if you want another wonderful organization doing incredible things, check out Easter For Eli), we got linked up with the Pittsburgh Ronald McDonald House and were able to donate the remainder of the toys to families & kids staying there. My heart is full knowing we were able to help many have a wonderful Christmas. Thank you to all who had a hand in the 2025 drive. Now it’s on to the next!

The 2024 Koncept For Kids Toy Drive shopping spree was a HUUUUGE success!! $950 in donations, thanks to all of you fine people who donated, completely filled my Equinox! Santa will have plenty to pick from for the kiddos tomorrow evening. Event will be held at the Knights Of Columbus (1508 12th Avenue Altoona, PA 16601) from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM. Parents, please bring your children in for a free photo op with Ol’ St. Nick & a special Christmas gift from ‘the big guy’. Light refreshments will be on hand & live holiday music will fill the air. Looking forward to a festive evening as we try to spread some Christmas cheer. Koncept Entertainment wishes each & every one of you a very Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 🎅

Koncept Nation!!! I’m writing this with a huge smile on my face & beaming with pride…pride in my community! I asked y’all to deliver, and did you ever?! Thanks to all of you wonderful people & your generosity, we’ve officially raised $950 for the 2024 Koncept For Kids Toy Drive!!! And because YOU delivered, now Santa will be able to deliver as well. I, along with a couple of my most trusted ‘elves’, will be going out later this morning on a HUGE Christmas toy shopping spree. Then the next stop will be the Knights Of Columbus in Altoona, PA this Friday December 20th from 4:00 PM-7:00 PM. We’ll be meeting up with Ol’ St. Nick himself 🎅! Santa Claus will be on hand to take photos & give each child that comes by a gift. So parents, this is your cue…we hope to see you all at the 2024 Koncept For Kids Toy Drive!!! On Friday December 20th, the jolly man in the big red suit will be at the Knights Of Columbus in Altoona, PA for the 2024 Koncept For Kids Toy Drive live event! 🎅 🎁 Bring your kiddos in for a free photo op with Santa & a Christmas gift. Entertainment provided by Koncept Entertainment. Event will be from 4:00-7:00 PM.

*Still need everyone’s help with donations, both in toys & monetary. Please help me make this an amazing turnout & spread some extra Christmas cheer to the children

The lights have gone up, the curtains have closed & the crowd has gone home. After a thrilling night of live entertainment that saw 6 of our area’s best singers laying it all on the line through 3 grueling mini-rounds of karaoke war…only one can reign supreme & earned the right to the title this year. Without further ado, ladies & gentlemen…I am proud to announce the winner & 2024 Koncept Karaoke Contest Champion is…

On behalf of Koncept Entertainment: congrats to Drea, as well as our other finalists Rachael Rhodes K***z, Eli Vaglica, Mitch Jennings, Corinna Ann Griffith & Miranda McCloskey 👏 👏 Each & every one of you brought something different on every song tonight. The clever use of props & the creativity behind some of the outfits & costumes was top-notch. You all should be extremely proud of yourselves. I personally didn’t see karaoke singers up there tonight…I saw PERFORMERS. Bravo to all!

Thank you once again to all of my singers; to my judges (your job was not one I envy in the slightest); to the hardworking staff at the Trianon (and Underdogs) who always keep the drinks & grub comin’; and to all of our faithful crowds who make it out to show support. It truly takes a village to make this type of contest work, and I could not do it without all of you…so THANK YOU 🙏 Next year: more signups, more great talent!! And Drea-you gotta defend that 👑. After 3 weeks, 30+ signups, 25 official contestants, 5 rounds of karaoke competition…the big night is finally here! Tonight, Friday November 15th, at the Trianon Bar & Grille…it all comes to a close as we look to crown the 2024 Koncept Karaoke Contest Champion!!! 6 amazing singers are left vying for the title & bragging rights in the 2024 Koncept Karaoke Contest Finals-who’s it gonna be?! Come find out for yourself as our contestants sing not once…not twice…but THREE times. Each individual’s scores will be accumulated & added together. The top overall score will take the victory.

I want to thank my judges for handling the tough job of grading these singers as fairly as possible. I’d like to thank the Trianon Bar & Grille (in addition to Underdogs in Bellwood) for allowing me to bring this event back in a big way. I’d also like to thank all of the great singers that entered this year-you’re all fantastic in your own right! Keep singin’ 🎤 Another special thanks to all the bartenders, cooks & staff that keep all the patrons taken care of while they enjoy the live entertainment. I appreciate all of those that have been classy & respectful throughout…this is all about lifting each other up, cheering each other on, supporting your fellow brothers & sisters through song & coming together through music. “Oh, what a night!” After our contestants battled through 2 scintillating waves of karaoke…complete with wardrobe changes, magically sprouting facial & cranial hair lol, flowers, fans, denim & leather…all to the backdrop of a wide array of different musical styles & genres…I can say that the Semifinals Showdown is over. 12 awesome singers brought it on every song. However, only 6 of those singers can call themselves finalists this year…EVERYONE: please know you’re all winners in my book.
