You know those nights you look back on years later and somehow you can still remember exactly what they felt like?

The music. The people. The weather. The lights. The noise.

The kind of night that feels a little nostalgic before it’s even over.

That’s what we’re hoping to create Friday.

A little “Babylon” kind of feeling on Burgoon Road. ❤️

Kids running around with their friends. Parents catching up. Music playing. Food everywhere. Maroon and white as far as you can see. The band. The cheerleaders. The Homecoming Court. The Maniacs.

And an entire community showing these kids that we showed up for them.

You don’t need to have a student at the high school.

You don’t even have to be going to the game.

If you’re an AASD family, an alum, a teacher, a neighbor, a former Mountain Lion, or you simply love this community…

👕 1,000 FREE HOMECOMING T-SHIRTS
For the first 1,000 AASD students with student ID.

🍕🥤 500 STUDENTS EAT + DRINK FREE
The first 500 AASD students with student ID will receive vouchers for free food AND a free drink!

Student ID is required for shirts and vouchers.

Everyone else, come hungry! Our participating food vendors will have food and drinks available to order and purchase as well. Menus may be limited for the event, but there will be plenty of good stuff to grab!

Then around 6:00 PM, listen for the DJ because we’re getting EVERYBODY together.

At 6:15 PM SHARP, we’re heading to Mansion Park.

🚗 PARKING: Please DO NOT park in the Fisher’s Auto lot. That’s our event space. Park at Mansion Park and walk over to join us.

They helped us feed them.
They helped turn an idea into Friday night.

And we hope years from now, when these kids hear a certain song, smell fall in the air or drive past Mansion Park on a Friday night, something brings them right back here.

Back to their friends.

Back to the music.

Back to the maroon and white.

Back to the night their whole community showed up.

That’s the goal.

Not just a Homecoming tailgate.

If you’ve been to a community event around Altoona lately, there’s a good chance you’ve seen the little red train rolling around. 🚂❤️

Charlie’s Doggy Express is a local, family-friendly event train that brings a little extra fun to birthday parties, weddings, fundraisers, festivals and community events. Kids can ride. Adults can ride. Even the dogs can ride. 😂🐾

But what we really love is how often you see Charlie’s showing up for the community. From local festivals to events supporting organizations like the Central PA Humane Society, they’ve become one of those familiar faces that just makes local events a little more fun.

And we know that firsthand because Charlie’s Doggy Express has been part of our Parking Lot Pop-Ups, too! ❤️

So when we started putting this Homecoming night together, it means a whole lot to have another one of our community partners step up and say, “We’re in.”
