Pretty girls like Velvet get sick!
I love her and so I have a present for her. A new motor! Shh it’s a surprise! And…Velvet and I are driving over to New Smyrna Beach on Sunday or Monday to let her stretch out a little bit!
If we make it and back (god willing) I might be tempted to brave more embarrassments resulted from mishaps with a 60 year old Volkswagen Bus and rent time to others again.
Young Children show the most delight of all the visitors who have had Velvet for a few moments all to themselve!
It is really fun to have them sit in the front seat and push the horn button in the middle of the steering wheel.
Suddenly a very high pitch “Beeep!”.
Be ready with your camera to catch those faces at that moment! It’s not only kids who become very facially expressive at that sound.
I’ve seen and know how much others love her too.

Another secret surprise is I have a second engine for back up!

Once Velvet, god forbid, has another problem and then set up in the
Got Every Dang Tool
in the World in the Man Cave Studios, in 2hours an engine swap is done.
I’ll let you know how our trip goes!

I am making. Velvet more accessible inside my making that BBQ/SINK Cabinet removable and building a couch there in its place so people can sit on it for poses with wider access in the cargo side doors. They don’t have to squeeze on anymore so you might like that!
Soon I’ll post some design sketches of how the wrap around couch might look!

Velvet the Bus is magic for making little kids 3-80 yrs old have fun with the big horn button, as as the photographer you have to be ready to capture their Beep Beep! expression!

Velvet traveled 100 miles south today to attend a wedding on the shores of Okeechobee! It was a nice drive down on Florida Turnpike, but now we are in the blackest of night in the middle of nowhere! Lots of critters around here too!
