When one door closes another opens... the same week I decided to close down the store and farm (hopefully only temporarily), I got the confirmation that Chick-fil-A in Manhattan wanted to feature my locally grown blooms on their tables. After some consideration, I decided to accept the blessing and salvage whatever stems I can save from the carnage of the grasshoppers. Although I don't have enough flowers for bouquets, I do have enough for this! We will be providing weekly, Morris County-grown flowers to Chick-fil-A in Manhattan! If you happen to visit this week, please take some pics and tag us!

I'm so thankful for the opportunity to have some income to keep the farm going while we recover from this season's hardships. Thank you again for your support. The outpouring of love and solidarity I have gotten the last couple days has been so lovely. Thank you ❤️

Not gonna lie- I'm pretty sad 😢 to be making this post, but I have no other choice right now. If you've been following the farm this season you know it's been a rough one- between crop failures, flooding, extreme heat and bug infestations, I have hardly been able to keep up with flower demands. The grasshoppers are only increasing in number, and they are absolutely devouring probably at least 80 percent of what I'm growing. It's a losing battle right now, and I'm not sure if this will be a temporary closing or if things will turn around in a few weeks.
Follow along with me and we will see how things progress! I'm soo grateful for the support of the community, both local and those who drive an hour to come buy our blooms. If you're a flower subscriber, stayed tuned and watch for an email update coming soon. I'm still trying to decide how to handle everything, but I will make sure I take care of you! On a lighter note, our first flower workshop was an absolute blast this weekend, and I'll be posting pics of that shortly! Thank you again for your continued support, I couldn't keep going without you guys! 💕

I don't know about you, but my head is spinning with how fast this summer seemed to fly by! Trying to get back into a groove with school, and making plans for fall, and next spring, too! We will be having our kids workshop this Saturday, but the store will still be open 8 to 8 Friday-Sunday!

-if you come by Saturday morning, please watch for kiddos! They'll be painting, flower picking and snacking on donuts. Maybe I will be too, sounds like a good way to spend a Saturday morning 🥰

Never say never 🙃🫠 I couldn't see anything that would make me do this, but a grasshopper invasion has done the trick! Hubby is off on Wednesdays, so I'll be out super duper early to spray some molasses and get to baggin' some blossoms🌸🌸

August 16th is the date of our first kid's workshop! Painting, flower picking and breakfast! I need to fill my minimum of 5 kiddos, max of 15! I really need to spread the word on this so I'll do a drawing for a free 35 dollar bouquet OR a free ticket to this workshop! Here's how you enter:

Details for the kid's PETALS & PAINT workshop:
-$45 per child, $40/each for multiple children in the same household
-goes from 8AM to roughly 10, a parent or caregiver is required to stay!
-I'll have a fun breakfast and refreshments, and we provide a clean porta-potty on-site!
-flower picking and paint activity using flowers and greenery as paint utensils
-kids will do a bud vase arrangement for each child to take home
-close-toed shoes at the farm please!
-painting activity under the shade tent, but some activities are in the sun- please bring sunscreen/bug spray if needed!
-I'd recommend a minimum age of 4, but if you'd like to buy a ticket for a younger child and try it with extra help from the caregriver, I'm fine with that!

Bed prepping for more planting, maybe some fall crops too! I'm picking up some goodies for the workshop this weekend today. If your kids have started school and need a little reminder that summer is still around, sign them up for our Kids Workshop on Saturday! 💥💐We are open FRIDAY-SUNDAY 8AM-8PM! 💐💥 The store is stocked with farm fresh eggs and fresh🌸JUICY🌸bouquets from the farm! Sunflowers, zinnias, Italian cutting petunias, hibiscus, cat mint, celosia...these belong on your weekend tables!!! Message me for a custom order! I do not have the big flag down by the highway today (friday) thanks to this stinkin wind, but we are open!
