A 170 year-old Southern antebellum home, Berkshire House was relocated from southern Georgia to its current location over 50 years ago. The home has been expanded to over 10,000 square feet, including a 1,200 square foot ballroom; however, the original antebellum portion has remained unchanged and filled with elegant chandeliers and fine details. Berkshire House offers multiple settings to cater to various types of events-including a 6-chandelier ballroom; outdoor ceremony space against a backdrop of rolling hills and beautifully manicured pastures--perfect for tented events; expansive outdoor deck; and a state-of the art, luxury stable and equestrian center. We can accommodate those looking to host an intimate ceremony or event for 10-15 guests, as well as those looking to find a venue with the space to accommodate 400 guests or more, while still maintaining an intimate, personalized feel. We offer house linens, tables, chairs, lighting, and heaters and can provide valet service for an additional fee. While we have preferred caterers, we do allow for outside catering and alcohol, and provide a caterers kitchen as well as a full bar room. Our complete preferred vendor list consists of exceptional professionals in a number of specialties-including florists, videographers, photographers and wedding planners--which you may also choose to use. Our venue coordinator works with you and your professionals to create a wonderful memory of your special occasion.
