Dear Friends,

Today is the last day of school, at least here in Fulton County. Although a grandparent now, I still feel the excitement! In just a little over a week our summer camps will begin and The Farm will be filled with children horseback riding, learning about farm life and experiencing all kinds of aspects of agriculture. It is always my prayer that each child who comes to The Farm will find it to be a magical place and will take with them, through life, something they learned from their camp experience at Pamelot Farm.

One of the most special things to me about Pamelot Farm and Painted Horse Winery is that we are so family oriented and cross-generational. I frequently get asked what age group is most of our clientele. I can honestly answer saying, "Every"! This weekend we will have children's birthday parties in the morning and Sunday evening we will have The Elderly Brothers here as our atmosphere music at the tasting room. The Elderly Brothers are in their eighties! So, yes! We cater to every age.

So, come on out this weekend and enjoy a day at The Farm! We will also be open on Monday for Memorial Day and will be honoring those who have served.

Those of you that know us know that David and I love to travel, and you know we love wine! While planning our wine tour for the Summer of 2024 we came upon this fantastic opportunity for this fall. Here are some details.....

This 7-night luxury river cruise will travel through the picturesque wine region of the Wachau Valley, with stops for a guided walks through the old city center of Linz and a visit of the impressive Benedictine Abbey of Melk (I have actually been to this Abbey and the wine the Monks make is amazing...best Pinot Noir I've ever had!) where you can taste some of the local wines. You will also have the opportunity to explore Vienna and Bratislava, two of Europe’s most enchanting cities.

On this cruise, you will enjoy an all-inclusive experience with luxurious accommodations and gourmet dining. Dear Friends,

We have an exciting opportunity available! As you know, we are hosting a wine tour trip in Europe in the Summer of 2024. While working with the travel agent on this he brought up a last minute opportunity for a wine tour river cruise this October 22nd - 29th. It looks fantastic! It's on AmaMagna. The cruise starts in Vilshofen and winds down the Danube ending in Budapest. It will be hosted by VGS Chateau Potelle from Napa Valley.

We are going to have an informational meeting lead by Chris, the travel agent, next Thursday, May 25th at 7 p.m. in the winery. Dear Friends,

Through laughter, tears and love there is nothing like a mother's touch. This Sunday we will be celebrating all mothers at Painted Horse Winery! Perfume is an oft-chosen gift in a sensual way; wine is a time honored gift in a delightful way! We have a limited number of beautiful gift box sets which include two Riedel crystal glasses with the Painted Horse logo and your choice of Painted Horse wine available for your gift to that special mom.

Also, on Friday we will re-release our Sauvignon Blanc and our Riesling! It is amazing...if I do say so myself! We have only bottled 10 cases of each so make sure you get some this weekend.

We will be harvesting honey soon! Many of you have asked about that. Watch for details on the date if you would like to come see the harvest...and maybe taste a little!

Dear Friends,

Happy Cinco de Mayo! David and I have just returned from a trip to Mexico where, as you would expect, we sought out fine wines! And, we found some! When I think about wine, Mexico is typically not a country that comes to mind, however, my mind has been changed!

Mexico has some amazing wines, in fact, in Guadalupe the "Valle de Guadalupe" is the equivalent of Napa Valley. This region produces some incredible wines due to the Mediterranean like microclimate.

Another very important wine region is Valle De Parras which is a small wine region in the Sierra Madre Oriental mountains of central northern Mexico. Although rich in viticultural history, it is a relatively unknown region of wine production on a national and international scale. But, to its credit, the oldest winery in all of the Americas – Casa Madero – can be found here, on the site of a Jesuit mission. Casa Madero was founded in 1597 and is still owned and operated by the same family! We had their 2022 Chardonnay and I dare say, it was some of the best Chardonnay I have ever had!

David and I continue to work on our travel plans for June 2024 when we invite you to join us on a European Wine Tour. If you have already sent a message that you are interested in joining us, we have your name on the list. We have a lot going on at The Farm this weekend! Friday is our Cinco de Mayo party and Saturday is our Kentucky Derby Party. Hope to see you!

Dear Friends,

This winter weather at the end of April has caught me a little off guard and thrown me slightly off kilter. Historically, at this time of year Pamelot is a welcome change from life's busy pace. It's a place meant for strolling the grounds and breathing in the sweet essences wafted by each easy breeze. Whether one is looking for a pairing, trail ride or a place to gather with friends, the beauty of the grounds and friendliness of our staff is as much of a draw as the wine itself.

Please come out and visit this weekend! Cinco de Mayo will be a fun day with our Margarita Wine Slushies. And, our very own wine steward, Kenny Brown, will be spinning the tunes!

We have been working hard in the tasting room arranging new merchandise! Have you seen our new imprinted wine glasses? And, we have beautiful Riedel gift boxes. Dear Friends,

Those who have been to a barrel tasting or other event at Painted Horse have heard me tell the story of how the winery began. For those of you who haven't heard the story, in a nutshell...I had a bad day. I destroyed a pasture and needed to make it beautiful again. We have done extensive traveling through the wine countries of Europe. Based on that I decided I was going to plant a vineyard to make the pasture beautiful again and suffuse a little of the European wine world onto The Farm. (For full details you need to come to a barrel tasting or wine pairing!)

Many of you have asked about our travels and have asked if we would lead a wine tour through some of the European countries. David and I are touched that you would want to travel with us. We would be honored to lead a wine tour and spend time traveling with you, our friends, on a journey through European wines and history. We are in the planning stages and don't have details to share other than the first European wine tour will be early summer of 2024.

We would like to get an idea of how many of you are interested in joining us in our journeys. If you are interested, please email me at [email protected]. This is exciting!

Dear Friends,

Easter is my favorite time of year! It brings such joy and hope. The flowers blooming signals a time of rebirth. The scent of roses with its gentle mingling of delicate florals transports me to the most beautiful place. I close my eyes and hear the singing of the birds and I know that heaven is below our feet as well as above our heads.

We will be open on Easter Sunday. So many of you told us that you wanted to bring your family and friends visiting from out of town so they could have the Painted Horse experience. That is quite an honor and compliment! We will be open from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thank you for wanting to share your Easter with us!

We are watching the weather for the Easter Egg Hunt. If it is just sprinkling the hunt will go on! If it is a total washout, we will move the hunt to the next day, Easter Sunday, at 3 p.m.

After the hunt, walk over to the winery and have a glass of wine!

Join us for this unique opportunity!

Sip into spring with a selection of wines perfect for patios or pools. Learn how to properly taste and describe what makes a wine refreshing and warm weather worthy from WSET Instructor Emily Mendyka. Taste bubbles, a Rose´, a Sauvignon Blanc, a French Chardonnay and a light red.
Tickets are limited $75
April 19th at 7 p.m.

Did you know Pamelot is a true working farm right in the heart of Milton, Georgia?
Come experience the adventure!
Feed the animals, collect fresh eggs from the hen house, inspect the beehives, taste honey from our hives, brush the horses and more!

We are offering 2 different adventures. One for families and one for 21 years and older which will include our barrel room as the last stop in the adventure to taste the wines made right here on our farm!

Family Adventure $45/person, children under 3 free
21+ Adventure $85/person

Join Painted Horse winemaker for a fabulous time of tasting wine right out of the barrels. Some are young and some are old! Taste the difference, learn about the winemaking process and acquire a greater appreciation of wine as a fine art. Charcuterie from local cheesemongers is included.
Tickets are $75.

Reminder: No outside beverages of any kind are allowed to be brought onto The Farm. Along with our wine we also sell sodas, waters, Gatorade, juice, kids' slushies and more.
