During the show last night, 8/31, an altercation took place between multiple people during the last three minutes of the show; the show was excellent, safe, and an escape from the monotony of work. The incident was immediately dealt with by numerous people, maintaining a great environment for an overwhelming majority of the participants; unfortunately, this is the second altercation at the space between three of the people involved in the incident--those three are no longer welcome at Good Weeknd to attend shows because they have repeatedly behaved in a manner that does not align with the space's stance regarding violence (the exception being the "pit"--a conversation in itself); more to the point and the issue of last night, violence of any sort is frowned upon and in no way encouraged, especially male violence against females--all genders and sexualities for that matter. We are an inclusive space that wants the bands, attendees, and volunteers to feel comfortable and know they are in an environment where they can enjoy the performances, escape the routine, have fun, and chill. We look forward to seeing you at future shows.

We love having shows at our space. We love all of you attending and enjoying the music, people, and atmosphere. With that being said, we need you to leave your drama at the door, before you walk in, prior to starting fights, heated exchanges or unnecessary discomfort for others and yourself: we're not about banning people; you can regulate yourself. Respect the space. Respect the bands. Respect the people. Respect yourself. Respect the experience. If you can't do that--stay away.
