The Weekly Update (August 17, 2025)

We had a pretty busy week! Things started with a school carnival at Taylor Exemplar Academy on Tuesday, the CHASS Mercado on Thurday, the Allen Park Farmers Market on Friday, a block party Saturday and we finished up with the Sunday Socials.

This week is pretty busy too. We have school openings on Tuesday and Wednesday evening for Crestwood and Said Elementary respectively. We'll be at the CHASS Mercado Thursday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm. Friday, we're headed over to Custard on the Avenue for their grand opening at 12:30 pm, then to the Allen Park Farmers Market. Saturday is another double-duty day with a Touch-A-Truck for the Gibraltar Rockwood Rotary from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm at Mercure Park. Then we'll be at the Allen Park Volleyball Summer Slam until 9:30 pm. The week ends back at the Sunday Socials from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

The Weekly Update (August 10, 2025)

We had more events this week, but less time spent twisting. On Wednesday, we had two events: a back to school health event at CHASS which was pretty busy, then Magic in the Streets for the Allen Park DDA in the evening. Thursday and Friday were Farmer's Markets: Thursday morning was at CHASS Center from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm and Friday was at the Allen Park Farmers Market from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Sunday found us at a back to school event for Downriver Foster Closet.

This week we've got a school's summer carnival on Tuesday, CHASS Mercado on Thursday from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, the Allen Park Farmer's Market on Friday from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm, a block party on Saturday, and the Sunday Socials from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Sunday. At least there aren't any events where we go from one to the next this week.

The Weekly Update (August 3, 2025)

It's fair to say this was our biggest week so far this year. We got in about an hour in a very wet Music in the Streets on Wednesday, about 11 hours each on Friday and Saturday for the Allen Park Street Fair, and another 3 hours on Sunday for a back to school event for Hope City Church. Only 4 events, but more than 25 hours of twisting.

This week we have an event at CHASS on Wednesday morning and Magic in the Streets from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm at the community center later that day. On Thursday, we're back at CHASS Mercado from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, the Allen Park Farmers Market on Friday from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm and an event for the Downriver Foster Closet on Sunday.

Tonight, we're going to be at Music in the Streets featuring THE MUSIC LADY from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Tomorrow, we'll be at the CHASS Center for their Farmer's Market from 9:00 am - 1:00 pm.

On Friday and Saturday, we'll be at the Allen Park Street Fair from 10:00 am - 8:00 ish. We'll be in front of AB Fitness Studio. On Sunday, we won't be at Sunday Socials (but you should!) because we're going to a back to school party.

The Weekly Update (July 27, 2025)

Well, it was a big week with balloon twisting from Wednesday until Sunday. On Wednesday, we visited the Allen Park Public Library and then later, Maple Heights in Allen Park. Thursday saw us start out at the CHASS Mercado then finish the day at Lemonade in the Shade. Friday was the Allen Park Farmers Market, Saturday we were back at the library, and today we visited the Sunday Socials in Wyandotte.

This week will be another big one. We'll be at a special kid's edition of Music in the Streets at Park & Philomene from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm. Thursday we'll be back at CHASS Mercado from 9:00 pm - 1:00 pm. Friday and Saturday will likely be our two busiest days this year as we'll be at the Allen Park Street Fair from 10:00 am - 9:00 pm. Sunday, we're off to Hope City Church for a back to school event.

The Weekly Update (July 20, 2025)

Last week was pretty busy with a half dozen events in the latter part of the week. On Wednesday it was Lunch & Listen at the Allen Park Public Library, Thursday was Chass Mercado, a farmer's market in Detroit. Friday was the Allen Park Farmers Market and Saturday was the Allen Park DDA Touch-a-Truck followed by a picnic at the Knights of Columbus and the Sunday Socials today.

This week, many of those are back! We'll be at the library for Lunch & Listen from noon to 1:30 pm on Wednesday. Thursday, it's the CHASS center for their market from 9:00 am - noon and then at Lemonade in the Shade from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Friday it's back to the Allen Park Farmers Market from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Saturday will find us at the Allen Park Public Library from 10:30 am - noon and finally, we'll be back at the Sunday Socials from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Sunday.

The Weekly Update (July 13, 2025)

We didn't have a very busy week planned but the weather made it a little lighter. We had one appearance Wednesday at the Allen Park Public Library and one Thursday at Lemonade in the Shade for AP Parks & Recreation. The Farmer's Market was canceled on Friday.

This week is a little busier. We have Lunch & Listen at the Allen Park Public Library on Wednesday from noon to 1:30 pm, a Farmer's Market for Chass Center from 9:30 am to 12:30 am on Thursday, the Allen Park Farmers Market from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Saturday is busy with two events: the Allen Park DDA's Touch-a-Truck from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm, followed immediately by a Knights of Columbus picnic and on Sunday, we'll be back at the Sunday Socials from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm in Wyandotte.

The Weekly Update (July 6, 2025)

A very slow week this week with only the Lunch & Listen at the Allen Park Public Library on Wednesday; we were planning to be at the 🎶 Sunday Socials: FREE Live Music in Wyandotte 🎶, but id didn't work out.

This week, we have another round of Lunch & Listen on Wednesday from Noon to 1:30 pm, Lemonade in the Shade at Philomene & Park from 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm, and the Allen Park Farmers Market from 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Friday.

The Allen Park DDA has rescheduled the special Kids Music in the Streets even for July 30, from 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm and we'll be there along with The Music Lady.
