The Algonquin Summer concert series has been announced … so that means there will be an opening night dinner event at The _Algonquin_House on June 11. Hosted friend, Carissa Beaman”s one-day “Glisten” retreat at The _Algonquin_House yesterday. Great conversation and self-care time with good friends (and new friends). Learned about Human Design, made vision boards and talked about goal setting, including how we can support each other in 2025. Just a couple pics, including one of our cupcake treats from Clock Tower Cupcakes. My goal is to get The Algonquin House finished and officially open by end of 2026 so that I can do more of these events.

Thursday 9/11 is the last of the Algonquin summer concerts. Stop by The _Algonquin_House to hear the music and enjoy gourmet s’mores and wine around the campfire. Stop by any time 6-9 pm.

On Wednesday, July 9, the DAA and Village of Algonquin will honor Sherry Brewer for 30 years of business at the Victorian Rose Garden B & B. Join us for breakfast from 7:30-9:00 am, followed by the regular Old Town business meeting at Sherry’s place at 9:00 a.m.

It’s been awhile since I posted … but I need to get the word out that The_Algonquin_House will be open for a sneak peak of the renovations during this summer’s summer concerts in Towne Park. We’ll kick off the season with a BBQ during the first one on July 10. But you’re welcome to stop by before, during or after any of the concerts dates from July 10-August 28.

This week, while prepping for my knee surgery, I took the time to decorate for fall... Always love how looks decorated for the seasons/holidays. Will snap some more pictures when I get back home. (And this is one of my favorite rooms renovated in the house. Still need to paint that red dresser though. … but don’t worry, it will still be a bold pop of color!)
