Nicole and George initially envisioned a smaller, intimate wedding, but as no surprise to us, they are a very popular couple and ended up almost doubling their guest count for their gorgeous waterfront wedding celebration!

Nicole and George beautifully honored their heritage throughout the day, from custom Barongs for the men and Filipino-inspired dresses for the bridesmaids, to serving delicious traditional desserts from Gwennie’s. They even tied the knot on June 12th, Philippines Independence Day! 🇵🇭

The entire evening was full of unforgettable moments, including the dads serenading the newlyweds with a special song, and George alongside his groomsmen surprising Nicole with a hilarious “Dougie” dance (a nod to his name, George Douglas)! 🕺

It was such a joy to celebrate you both, Nicole and George! Thank you for allowing Honey and Lavender to be a part of your special day! 💜

The Honey and Lavender Events dream team is growing... everyone, meet Sonya! 💜

Originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, Sonya spent a decade in the Midwest before making her way to D.C. last fall. Her background in finance, strategy, and operations, as well as her knack for seamless logistics and her warm energy make her a fabulous addition to our team!

Outside of work, Sonya is a pilates regular, an avid traveler, and a lover of local coffee shops... where she will always order an iced soy vanilla latte, even in the dead of winter!

Cheers to 60 years! 🥂 We adore planning weddings, but it’s extra special to be part of celebrations on the other end of the spectrum, where we get to honor decades of love and a lifetime built together! 🤍

Tom and Bobbie’s intimate 60th anniversary party at The Henri kicked off with a stunning rooftop cocktail reception, followed by a delicious three-course dinner accompanied by heartfelt toasts from their daughters and three grandchildren.

Tom and Bobbie aren’t ones for the spotlight, but their joy upon being surrounded by their loved ones and their deep devotion to one another were evident throughout the entire evening.

Celebrating 60 years of marriage is a true milestone, and helping this sweet couple host such a lovely, meaningful gathering was an absolute privilege for our team.
