Our Story

Ellie was lucky enough to have a mother whose best friend happened to be the owner of one of the most renowned bridal salons in Seoul, South Korea. Thus, Ellie has been immersed in the bridal world for much of her life. After receiving a bachelor's degree in Fashion & Design, she was immediately hired as a bridal designer and consultant at the salon. She designed there until moving to the DC area where she continued to immerse herself in bridal, even if that meant vacuuming part time in a local bridal shop.

Since moving to the DC-area, Ellie has been completely enamored with Old Town – in particular, with the grandiose windows of 225 N. Washington Street. This is where her dream bridal shop would be. In 1996, the timing was right and the most amazing opportunity presented itself: a sign proclaiming FOR LEASE right over those big, arching windows Ellie was so in love with. The rest, as they say, is history...
