It’s been 2 years since we said our last goodbye. In some ways it feels like it was yesterday and in other ways, it seems like a lifetime ago.

I often wonder if you can see me from heaven and if you can, what would you think of this new me? I mean, I’m still me, just different. I think I’m better and there are parts of me that feel guilty about that. I wish you could have had this version of me; the version that only exists because you died. The new me savors the taste of my morning coffee a little more. The new me understand everybody has a story and I try my hardest to show everyone a little more grace. The new me understands it could all be over tomorrow so I cherish time with my family and friends a little deeper. I cherish the valleys of life because without the valleys, I wouldn’t to be able to appreciate the mountain tops. I’ve discovered how deep my creators love is for me and how sovereign and good He is, even when life isn’t.

Christopher, you left behind a legacy that still leaves me in awe. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think about you. I love you and I’ll see you again 💙.
