Join Southwest Weddings and the Santa Fe Chamber of Commerce for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony celebrating the launch of the inaugural issue of Southwest Weddings Magazine and a private reception after!✂️🤍🎊

This milestone marks the beginning of a new regional publication dedicated to celebrating and supporting the wedding professionals, venues, creatives, and love stories found throughout CA -> TX!
The ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 6pm in the West Sculpture Garden of the New Mexico Museum of Art, located just off the historic Santa Fe Plaza.

✨ Spotlight: Meet Erika Durdle, owner and creative eye of Erika Durdle Photography! 📸✨ With a passion for telling real-life love stories and celebrating couples exactly as they are, Erika captures the connection, personality and joy that make every wedding unforgettable.

Erika Durdle Photography began out of necessity after she was laid off in March 2020, but over the past six years, it has grown into a business built entirely from love.

As an inclusive New Mexico wedding photographer based in Albuquerque, Erika focuses on documenting authentic love stories, celebrating LGBTQ+ couples and capturing q***r joy unapologetically. Inclusivity is at the heart of her work, connecting her with incredible couples who want their wedding photography to feel honest, personal and true to who they are.

Since moving to Albuquerque after college, Erika’s life and career have taken many forms - but nothing has brought her as much happiness and fulfillment as entrepreneurship. Her work allows her to photograph celebrations throughout New Mexico, from intimate mountain elopements in Taos to lively mariachi parades on the Santa Fe Plaza.

We have a BIG announcement with a HUGE impact to our community. 🤍

New Mexico and Southwest Weddings Magazines are officially going NATIONAL! ✨✈️

We recently signed with a national distribution partner that will bring our magazines to couples across the country - from the Pacific to the Gulf, along with select destination markets across the Eastern Seaboard, Pacific Northwest and Midwest!

But as our reach grows, we want to make one thing incredibly clear:
We are expanding outward - and taking you with us.

This milestone was made possible by hundreds of conversations, countless shared stories and the overwhelming encouragement of our venues and vendors. These have always been community-lifted publications, and that will never change.

Our goal is to continue strengthening the wedding community - inspiring more couples to book destination weddings in our region while creating meaningful connections between wedding professionals throughout the Southwest and beyond. National distribution simply gives the remarkable people, businesses and destinations of this region an even bigger platform with wider industry recognition.

Our reach may be growing, but our roots remain firmly planted in the community that got us here.

Vendor Spotlight: Meet Stephanie Hamilton, founder and creative director of Uncommon Arrangement 💐

With more than 20 years of experience, Stephanie brings an expert understanding of floral mechanics, color theory, and thoughtful design to weddings and events throughout Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Northern New Mexico, and beyond.

Her formal education began at floral design school in Kansas City, where her love for European hand-tied bouquets eventually inspired her to travel abroad and experience European flower markets and design styles firsthand.

Today, Stephanie combines that experience with a calm, collaborative approach to wedding floral design. By listening closely, asking thoughtful questions, and offering intentional guidance, she transforms each couple’s ideas into elevated, garden-inspired florals that feel personal to their celebration. 🤍
