This is Rod's wife, Phyllis. After 30 years of photography Rod has hung up his camera! Some things he would NEVER tell you but I will: He poured his heart into capturing memories for you! He loved getting to know you and seeing the things you went onto accomplish in life! He truly cared about you!!!! Several years he charged NOTHING to take pictures because it was NEVER about the money! He even took sweaters out of his own closet when he saw a young man didn't have anything good enough to wear for his pictures! He meticulously captured you and after the pictures were taken he spent HOURS of his time to edit them for you! He still will do pictures from time to time but at 72 years old it's time to slow down! We both thank EVERYONE for becoming a part of Rod's passion....photography!!!😘

Today would have been your coronation day, Gabby. Your proud family, friends and community members would have lined the streets and packed the bleachers to celebrate you. Little girls would have been wide-eyed, looking up to you, dreaming about their own moment. You would have been showered with waves and applause and smiles. While we can’t celebrate you in the traditional, treasured Buckwheat Festival way, we can celebrate you as one of Preston County’s most dedicated young people, our Queen Ceres. May these pictures be a constant reminder of all of your accomplishments, and of the community proud to call you our very own.
