Grounded Joy

I grow flowers from seed in my backyard, to make fresh bouquets for everyone to enjoy! My flower stand is out in my front yard for easy access for people.

Love being able to spread the joy of flowers :)

Well I should probably let everyone know that I won’t have anymore flowers this year. It wasn’t a good summer. Between the weather and my schedule I wasn’t able to get out in the garden but only those two times.
I went out this morning since it was cooler but it’s all over grown. So now the butterflies, bees, hummingbirds and birds can enjoy them the remainder of the season.
Thank you all that have been supporting me! It is soo much appreciated!!!🩷🩷

Also my daughter still has a couple birdhouses available. They work great! We have a couple in our yard and we have birds living in them every year.

It’s crazy how fast these little guys grow. I put them under the lights 2 days ago because they were sprouting out of the dirt. O how I love watching them grow😍

It’s finally that time of the year again where I get to start playing in the dirt! Today I seeded snapdragons and celosia.
I use 188 cell trays for snapdragons and 72 cell trays for everything else I plant. I use smaller cells for the snapdragons due to the tiny size of the seeds (which you can see in the picture below). After placing a seed in each cell I lightly cover the dirt with vermiculite. It helps keep the moisture in. Then I place the trays on a heating mat that it set at 70 degrees. I cover with a plastic dome. Once over 50% of the seeds have germinated I take the dome off and then put the tray under shop lights I have set up on my shelves. That is where they grow until it’s time to bring outdoors.

Happy Beautiful Sunday!!
Simmer Pot Kits available out in the cart.
I dehydrate all the fruits and herbs myself. Just pour ingredients into a pot, add about 3 cups water let simmer on low. Add water as needed. Can also use multiple times. Once used I store in the fridge til next time. They are perfect for these fall days!
