It must be a good life being The Backyard Boil watchdogs 🤣🐾❤️

While we’re running around worrying about schedules, weather, inventory, bills, and the next event…

These two have it all figured out 😅

Rainy days have a way of slowing us down.

And sometimes that’s exactly what we need.

A reminder to pause.

A reminder to breathe.

A reminder to appreciate the things that often go unnoticed.

The sound of the rain.
The peace of being home.
The wag of a tail.
The people sitting beside us.

Life moves fast, y’all.

Don’t get so busy chasing the next thing that you miss the blessings right in front of you.

Today, let’s slow down and appreciate the simple things ❤️🙏☔🐾

Because sometimes the best moments in life aren’t the big ones…

They’re the quiet ones.

HEY THURSDAYYYY ☀️🙏💭

Y’all, if you don’t have a time set aside for quiet time, reflection, and prayer… you’re really missing out on what I believe are some of the most peaceful moments in life.

It’s a time for me to slow down and really dive into my thoughts.

And whew… some of those thoughts run DEEP 😅

So today is for that person who feels like they’re just going through the motions.

STOPP.

Take a breath.

Look around.

There is so much more to this life than waking up, going to work, paying bills, sleeping, and repeating the cycle over and over again.

A wise man once told me that when we’re lying on our deathbed, we won’t be thinking about the load of clothes still in the dryer, the grass that needed cutting, the money we missed out on, or the job that held us hostage for so many years.

In that moment…

We’ll be wishing we had more time.

More time with our spouse.

More time with our kids.

More time with our parents.

More time making memories.

More time loving people.

More time doing the things that truly mattered.

Psalm 90:12 says:

📖 “Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.”

Y’all, life is a gift.

Don’t wait until “one day” to start living.

Call the person.

Take the trip.

Forgive the offense.

Chase the dream.

Spend the time.

Tell people you love them.

Because tomorrow isn’t promised, but today is a gift from God.

So let’s stop merely existing…

And start truly living. ❤️🙏

Y’all ever have a song that just gets stuck in your head?

Well, I can’t just let it play in my brain… I’ve GOT TO HEAR ITTT! 😂

Y’all… I’m stuck on it. Alexia is probably tired of hearing it, but she never talks back 👀🤣

Today’s motivation is for somebody standing at a fork in the road.

One path looks easier.
The money looks better.
The recognition looks greater.

The other path looks harder.
Less certain.
A little uncomfortable.

But deep down, you know that’s where God is leading.

I spent nearly 10 years in the industrial world trying to fit in places I was never meant to stay. I proved my value, climbed ladders, made good money… yet still felt empty.

Looking back, God was moving me the entire time.

And if I’m being honest, there was a season where I chose money, titles, and retirement goals over things that mattered more. I’m still living with some of those consequences today.

So if you’re feeling stuck…

If you’re merely existing instead of living…

If you’re chasing something that looks good on paper but feels empty in your spirit…

Listen closely.

Don’t settle.

Don’t blend in when God made you different.

Don’t get so wrapped up in the “American Dream” that the only dream you’re living becomes a nightmare.

📖 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord… “plans to give you a future and a hope.” — Jeremiah 29:11

The safest place you’ll ever be is in the will of God.

Not the highest-paying place.
Not the most popular place.
Not the place with the biggest title.

Because success without peace isn’t success.

So if you’re wrestling with a decision today…

Pray first.
Listen second.
Move when God says move.

The Promised Land was reached by faith, not convenience.

Sometimes the greatest blessings are found on the road that requires the most trust.

Don’t ignore that still, small voice.

It may be God leading you into the very thing you’ve been praying for all along ❤️🙏
