Tomorrow, May 6, is officially designated as Albany Patroons Day in the city of Albany!

Wear your green and gold proudly!!

The proclamation was issued by former Mayor Kathy Sheehan to honor Albany's beloved team and to recognize the incredible contributions this franchise has made to our community.

Since its inception in 1982, the Albany Patroons have not only celebrated championships but have also launched successful careers for numerous players and coaches who went on to thrive in the NBA. Most importantly, they have consistently given back to the city of Albany through extensive community engagement efforts. Coach Rowland and his dedicated team have tirelessly worked to make a positive impact by visiting schools to promote sports and literacy initiatives, conducting free basketball clinics, and offering mentorship programs.

As we eagerly anticipate the 2027 season, we look forward to continued support from new Albany Mayor Dr. Dorcey Applyrs and our loyal fans who embody an unwavering spirit for this remarkable franchise!
