Fighters from across New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Colorado, and Georgia are making their way to Alamogordo for a night packed with amateur and professional MMA, hometown talent, rising fighters, and championship gold on the line.

These athletes have spent weeks putting in the rounds, making the sacrifices, and getting ready for their moment inside the cage.

After both of their original opponents dropped, William Ortiz and Sonny Perez are now set to meet at 155 lbs. at Battle in the Basin 2: Night of the New Crowns!

William Ortiz will represent Desert Dynasty MMA right here in Alamogordo, NM, while Sonny Perez represents Bushido Martial Arts out of El Paso, TX.

Both guys stayed ready, both wanted to fight, and now they’ve got each other. 👊

They don’t call him “Mr. Main Event” around here for nothing. 😂

Fresh off a unanimous decision win for another main event spot at FightWorld, Richard “Black Skellington” Jennings is back in the main event — and this time, he’s fighting for gold.

Representing Desert Dynasty MMA right here in Alamogordo, NM, Jennings will face Quinten Culpepper of Rush MMA from Macon, GA for the DDCP Professional Lightweight Championship.

Culpepper is making the trip from Georgia with a 7-2 professional record and championship experience of his own. This is no easy road to the belt.

One has the hometown behind him. One is traveling across the country looking to take the gold home.

After a change to the original matchup, Jaime Ceballos is still set to compete at Battle in the Basin 2: Night of the New Crowns!

At 170 lbs., Jaime will represent Elite Kickboxing Academy out of El Paso, TX, and he’ll now face Eric Cohn of Punishers MMA from Silver City, NM.

Big respect to Eric for stepping up and keeping this welterweight matchup alive. 👊

🥊 MEET OUR CUTMEN 🥊

We're excited to have Gerry Burgos and Rene Acosta joining us as the official cutmen for Battle in the Basin 2: Night of the New Crowns!

When fighters step into the cage, having experienced people in their corner keeping them safe and ready to continue is a huge part of the fight game. We're fortunate to have Gerry and Rene cageside taking care of our athletes throughout the night.

Thank you both for being part of the team and helping us put fighter safety first.
