Chelsea & Ezra brought me back here to Ruth Bancroft Garden. I find this place quite magical. It is a hot day (92 degrees)but during the ceremony there was this lovely, gentle cool breeze that made some tiny leaves trickle down at just the right time, as I was talking about the garden as a metaphor for life and marriage.

There is no higher compliment than when someone says that you excel in your craft. Today I was told that I’m a good writer. Is that my craft? Hmmmm…

I had the honor of officiating a Celebration of Life for this young man today. Although I never met him, he inspired me through the words of his loved ones.

My takeaway is, check on the people who you love. This is what he did, time and time again. He was always concerned about the well being of others, even when he himself was struggling. He made time to check.

His light shines on, through those who he touched, and today- he touched me. RIP Harris. I will do better, in your honor.

Diana and Justin brought me back to this absolutely gorgeous location. These high school sweethearts, now a pediatrician (bride) and a pharmacist (groom) are finally settling into their future together out of all of the schooling! How exciting!

Fun fact: I overheard the father of the bride speaking Tagalog, so I was able to spontaneously throw in a phrase that he would appreciate at the end of the ceremony. Mabuhay ang bagong kasal!

Annie & Kyle thought it might rain on their wedding day. But it was sunny and beautiful. They got me choked up with their vows. I love it when that happens. 💗

Lizzie and Stephen were separated In different countries for 2.5 years because of the pandemic. They finally got married today in an intimate setting in San Francisco Botanical Garden. It was perfect.
