Full Circle Connections 💛

Yesterday, the Alachua Woman’s Club witnessed a beautiful example of what community is all about. Through the generosity of our local partners, hay donations from Open Range Hay of Alachua⁠ helped support the 2026 Boots & Bling Prom hosted by PACE Center for Girls Alachua⁠, while a much-appreciated coastal hay delivery was made to Retirement Home for Horses at Mill Creek Farm⁠.

This is what a full circle of generosity, gratitude, and community collaboration looks like. When local businesses and organizations come together with a shared purpose, lives are touched, hearts are encouraged, and our community grows stronger.

Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this happen. Just a friendly reminder that the GFWC Alachua Woman's Club will not be meeting this month as we take our summer break.

At our last meeting, we enjoyed a wonderful Tea Party and were honored to welcome Pace Center for Girls to share information about their important programs and the impact they have on young women in our community. Through the generosity of our members and guests, we raised funds through a raffle and were proud to present the proceeds to Pace Center for Girls.

We hope everyone is enjoying a safe and relaxing summer! We look forward to seeing all of our members back at the clubhouse when we resume meetings on September 10.

Until then, thank you for continuing to live the volunteer spirit! 💙

The GFWC Alachua Woman’s Club is proud of all the recent Santa Fe High school graduates, and we are especially proud to recognize our 2026 scholarship recipient, Mackenzie! 🎓✨

Mackenzie was awarded the GFWC Alachua Woman’s Club Scholarship to help support her journey to college. In addition to our scholarship, she has also earned several other scholarships through her hard work and dedication. She plans to pursue a career as an occupational therapist, and we know she has a bright future ahead of her.

We had the honor of presenting her scholarship award during the Education Foundation Awards Night and celebrating this exciting milestone with her and her family. Fun fact she remembered Joan our scholarship chairman from her days at Irby Elementary.

This scholarship would not be possible without the support of our amazing members, sponsors, and community. A special thank you to Tiffany Sanders of Solara, last years Charity Ball of St.Nicholas Chief Elf Officer sponsor, whose generosity helped make this scholarship possible.

We are truly grateful to everyone who continues to support our mission and help us make a difference in the lives of young women in our community. 💙

🌸 Reminder Ladies! 🌸

Join us tonight at 6:00 PM for our GFWC Alachua Woman’s Club meeting! Don’t forget to bring your teacup for our fun tea party exchange. ☕💕

We are also collecting personal hygiene items and nonperishable food donations for Peaceful Paths, so any donations are greatly appreciated.

🎟 We will also be holding a raffle benefiting the PACE Center for Girls, so bring your cash for a chance to win while supporting a wonderful cause!

This will be our last meeting until August, so we would love to see everyone there. If you’ve ever been curious about what our club is all about, this is the perfect meeting to attend and meet our amazing group of women dedicated to giving back to the community. 💙

We are so excited to announce that GFWC Alachua Woman’s Club returned home from the GFWC Florida Convention with several awards! 🏆💙

This is the FIRST time our club has won awards since joining GFWC, and we could not be prouder of our members and all the hard work they have put into serving our community.

🥉 3rd Place – Arts & Culture for our participation in the Fall Festival and combining multiple projects into one community event.

🥈 2nd Place – Environment for our Fire Awareness Event.

🥇 1st Place – Education & Libraries for Trick or Treat on Main! The judges loved how we combined multiple CSPs while giving back to so many children and families in our community.

Great job, ladies! This is such a huge accomplishment, and every member should be proud of the difference we are making together. Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, planned, decorated, and supported these projects. This recognition belongs to all of us! 💙✨

✨ What an exciting and fun-filled night at Relay for Life! ✨

Our team is proud to share that we raised $1,149, exceeding our goal of $1,000! 💜

We had a great time connecting with the community—selling fresh fruit bowls and delicious oatmeal peanut butter cookies at our booth. We also honored Emilie Matthews with a special sign since she wasn’t able to walk this year—she was absolutely with us in spirit.

It was wonderful sharing information about our women’s club, and we loved seeing so many smiling faces throughout the evening.

And of course, we can’t forget our honorary pet member, Diesel 🐾—who definitely could have raised even more if we had sold kisses!

Thank you to everyone who supported us. We can’t wait to see what next year holds! 💜
