Food: the 6th Love Language...
In December, I heard of a chef from New York that was doing a supper club in his house. I was immediately ready to go. My husband took some convincing to agree to show up at a stranger’s house and eat at a table with more strangers. That first night it January however, we were hooked! The experience was indescribable. Each Saturday night, 40 people reserve the opportunity to have a food experience that is unique and unmatched. Chef Tyler Lyne and his wife pastry chef Jen Lyne, create a 10-12 course seasonal tasting menu. By tasting menu, I do not mean small bites of food applied with tweezers on a plate leaving you wishing for a hamburger at the end of the night. This is the real deal, use any amount of will power you can muster to not lick the dish at the end and needing someone to roll you out the door at the end of the night menu. Every dish is not only absolutely gorgeous but complex often including foraged ingredients utilizing every part of the item. The sustainability and appreciation for all that is required to actually get the food to the plate is obvious. The thoughtfulness and intention is apparent in every bite. Part of the experience is being able to understand and connect with the chefs’ thought process. Last night, we had our 6th experience at the Lyne’s table. Their hospitality and humbleness leaves you feeling like you are at a friend’s home. I am available most any Saturday night when making your reservations!
