We want to take a moment to address the concerns some of you have raised regarding our dress code policy. First and foremost, we deeply appreciate all of you who support us and help make Status 8 a part of Akron’s community.
As we continue to grow, we’re focused on creating an atmosphere where everyone—regardless of age, background, or style—feels comfortable and can have a great time.
We know that implementing a dress code is an adjustment for some, and we sincerely apologize if it’s caused any inconvenience. But just like other cities and establishments with dress codes, we believe this step is important to maintain a welcoming, fun environment for everyone.
Our goal is not to exclude, but to ensure that when you step through our doors, you're entering a space where you can enjoy the night out, meet new people, and relax in a place that feels elevated and inclusive. That’s why we’ve made the decision to limit casual attire like jogging suits and joggers.
We’ve even had to turn away close friends and family at times, and it’s never easy—but it’s part of our commitment to creating the best possible experience for you all.
We understand this might not solve every issue, but it’s a step we’re taking in an effort to offer something fresh and fun to Akron—a place where everyone can enjoy themselves.
