We're just two weeks away from kicking off our 57th season with Prairie Winds Jazz Big Band & Swing Dance Concert! It is always a great time whether you dance the night away or take a seat and enjoy the classics from the big band era performed by Siouxland musicians.

Make plans to join us on Saturday, October 24, with dance lessons from Midwest Swing Dance Co. at 6:30 and concert at 7:30. All tickets available at the door - $12 for adults and $8 for students through college.

AMAZING!!! We can't say thank you enough to Maynard's of Akron and Maynard's Food Centers for selecting the opera house to be the first recipient of round up funds and to every customer who donated. The $1,988.52 will go to our building renovation fund.

This is such a great program and an easy way to support our community - please keep sharing the love by rounding up for Akron Fire & Rescue in September!

We would love to thank everyone who has contributed to our Akron Round-Ups program these first 2 months! 😁👍The total donation to the Akron Opera House is $1,988.52!💲💲
We hope to continue the trend with our next round-up in donating to the Akron Fire Department!👨‍🚒🚒

First, thank you to The Spot Espresso Bar & Cafe and everyone who purchased from the special drink menu inspired by our Godspell production in April! Jennifer and Stephanie presented board president Doug Olson with a $500 check for the opera house building fund. We appreciate your support!
