It was 79° Thursday and we had some much-needed snow yesterday.

Traveled to Laporte, CO this morning to pick-up a large 45x50 stained glass piece for the church. It difficult to find large and affordable pieces, and very happy to find this beauty. Met a super nice couple as well.

Mariah and I feel blessed to have added a new item for the church. Thanks to a very generous donation from our good friend Scott Davenport from Heirlooms Antique Mall Aurora we added this vintage votive candle offering table. This is something both of us really wanted for the church. The smell of the years of candle burning is incredible. It's amazing the friends we've made on our journey with the Last Chance Church over the years. Thanks Scott

Votive comes from the Latin votum, meaning promise, dedication or simply “prayer.” It reinforces the idea that the candles represent our prayers before God

Unfortunately the Spring weather has taken a toll on our orginal front doors and porch. The high winds ripped the lock hasp completely off. The doors then destroyed the porch railing. I temp fixed the hasp, but this will be our #1 priority project this summer.

Mariah and I had already decided to replace the steps and porch this summer. The two wooden beams supporting the porch are past their life expectancy. We'll have concrete footers in place and replace the porch supports with something more sturdy.

Hopefully everyone had a merry Christmas. We've gotten a few snow storms, but nothing like last year. Looking forward to making some great progress on our restoration in 2024.
