So many people buy gorgeous flowers for their big day, but they aren’t sure what to do with them after the reception. The wonderful Haue Valley will donate your arrangements to a local nursing home if you leave them. Maybe you have a loved one in a cemetery you would like to honor. Some loose stems will even make it home to my dining room table. My daughter LOVES weddings and flowers. After each wedding she will wake up to some sort of flowers at her breakfast spot.

Looking for a destination wedding? Try the Redwood Forrest. This big cathedral tree (first and last two photos) is found at The Trees of Mystery in California’s Redwood National Forest. The baby cathedral tree (second 2 photos) is taking reservations for weddings to take place in 600 years 😆

Mine I discovered just last year, and it’s the dianthus. I planted it in my garden last year and have just fallen in love. They would be great for a bouquet because they bloom from early spring to the end of summer. Flowers in season are always cheaper.

As the summer wedding season kicks off for us at the beautiful Haue Valley this weekend Jessica and I took a some time to celebrate our own wedding anniversaries. Jessica and Kenny (high school sweet hearts) celebrate 8 years together while David and I (Elizabeth) celebrate 9 years together (14 years since we started dating). Time flies by! I’m looking forward to helping so many brides make their memories this summer. Happy anniversary!
