This is not the announcement we wanted to make. 💔
Due to the severe weather forecast for this weekend, we have made the difficult decision to cancel Chalktoberfest 2026, including the Craft B**r Festival and Community Chalk Competition, scheduled for October 10–11.

In the history of Chalktoberfest, we have never faced a weather forecast severe enough to require this decision. With the potential for flooding rains, high winds, and dangerous conditions, the safety of our artists, guests, volunteers, vendors, and staff must come first.

We know how disappointing this is. More than 80 artists from across the country and around the world have spent months preparing. Our volunteers, sponsors, partners, vendors, and community have worked tirelessly to make this weekend possible, and thousands of you were preparing to join us on Marietta Square. We are heartbroken that we won’t get to experience it together this year.

We will be reaching out directly to affected participants and ticket holders with additional information. Please continue to follow our social channels and website for updates.
To every artist, volunteer, sponsor, partner, vendor, and member of our community who helped bring Chalktoberfest this far: thank you.

We hope you’ll join us when the chalk returns in 2027. ❤️🎨

There’s a little fun waiting beneath the layers.

Join me for a playful mixed-media workshop where we’ll combine paint, stains, torn paper, texture, and watercolor mushrooms to create a one-of-a-kind piece inspired by nature.

We’ll layer, experiment, get our hands a little messy, and see where the creative process takes us. No art experience needed—just come ready to play and create.

Sunday Grace 🌿

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13

Hope doesn’t usually arrive loudly.

Sometimes it begins as a quiet stirring—
a fresh idea,
a new perspective,
the courage to begin again.

This Sunday, may joy meet you where you are, may peace steady you, and may hope make room for all that God is still creating in and through you.

True love, hope, joy, and peace come from Above. 🤍

A little behind-the-scenes at Rooted Grace Studio.✂️🌿

One of my favorite things about junk journaling is watching a page come together one layer at a time. Old-looking papers, little bits and pieces, texture, words… sometimes you don't know exactly where you're going when you begin.

You just start creating.

Today’s little reminder happened to be right there on the page: Keep moving forward. 🤎

And maybe that's good advice for creativity—and life.
