CITY OF ABERDEEN
ROAD CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
Beginning Monday, August 3, the City of Aberdeen will begin Phase 2 of the 8th Ave NE Water Transmission Line Project associated with the construction of the new water tower.

Detour Routes & Access Updates
8th Ave NE will become a dead end near the levee between Lancelot Dr. and Camelot Dr.
There will be no through traffic in this section.
Businesses, homes, and properties will remain accessible from both the east and west sides of the construction zone.
All Businesses in this area Remain OPEN & are accessible. Please refer to the map for detour routes.

You can continue to access businesses and residences by traveling:

➡️ Eastbound on 8th Ave NE to the construction area
⬅️ Westbound on 8th Ave NE to the construction area on either side of 8th ave NE and Roosevelt Intersection
⬅️ Northbound on Roosevelt to the construction area
Simply follow the posted detour signs and travel to the dead end from either direction.
Additional Improvements:
The City is also partnering with BNSF Railway to improve railroad crossings at:
📍 8th Ave NE east of Roosevelt St.
📍 Roosevelt St. south of the 8th Ave NE intersection.

By coordinating these projects together, we're completing multiple infrastructure improvements at the same time, helping reduce future construction and minimizing the need to reopen these roadways later.

Five construction teams are working together to complete these improvements as safely and efficiently as possible.

Please slow down, follow posted detours, and be courteous to our construction crews as they work to improve our community.
