At Gem Bloom Flower Co, every stem is sown, grown, and hand-picked just outside Aberdeen. Owner Jennifer Svarstad is not your typical florist. She has a full-time career in the ag industry, and growing unique flowers is her hobby turned second career. Because of this, she doesn’t offer floral services for events such as weddings. Instead, she provides buckets of fresh, seasonal blooms for do-it-yourselfers and can provide a pop of color for special occasions with a wrapped bouquet or vased arrangement. All her flowers are field-grown, so she typically has flowers available May to September.
Visit Gem Bloom’s booth at the Malchow Plaza Farmers Market to find locally grown fresh-cut flowers, flower subscriptions, dahlia tubers, and specialty pumpkins.
All their flowers are grown locally, so they arrive to you in the best condition possible and are freshly harvested for the longest vase life. They specialize in growing unique flower varieties that you may not find at a box store or your local flower shop.
