Someone pinch me because it still doesn’t feel real. The amount of dedication, determination and grit it takes just to even get to nationals much less place or win is mind boggling. But, it wasn’t just that one performance.
As a mother, I reflect back on the collective of every prayer prayed, every meal carefully prepared, every costume meticulously rhinestoned, every long and sometimes painful practice, every meeting to properly prepare, every fundraiser, every sacrifice, etc.
Yes, the championship win is a beautiful feeling and it of course it feels great being on top of the mountain, but it is also important to remember the long ascent up that mountain. May our girls remember to always be grateful and humble and continue to persevere.
I’m just grateful to be on the sidelines or backstage being the loudest supporter. ❤️
