Did you know that Special moments don’t cost much.

They require intention, and the right team to execute it well.

If I told you the weddings people talk about months later…are not always the most expensive, would you believe it?

Guess what they are usually the most thoughtful, the ones where everything felt considered.
Where the experience flowed.
Where guests felt seen!

So let me ask you…

What are you actually spending your wedding budget on?

Is it just things that are trending? Things you copied off another’s experience? Or is it the experience you have curated for yourself knowing people will carry them into the years to come?

Let’s talk in the comments.

Because it is about time we started fixing wedding planning in Africa, one conversation at a time.

Let me tell you something…

Passive aggression during wedding planning is real, and it usually isn’t about bad people it’s about pressure without structure. The budgets are tight, expectations are high, and everyone suddenly has a voice in decisions that feel deeply personal. So instead of clear conversations, you start getting soft resistance, short answers, delayed responses, or “do what you want” energy that actually means the opposite.

That is how people start getting hurt.

A wedding is a project with emotions attached, and when there is no clear system for decision-making, communication starts to carry the weight. Small comments begin to sting, silence starts to feel loaded, and before you know it, you are no longer planning together you are managing tension.

This is where a planner becomes necessary, not optional.

A planner brings structure. They define roles, guide decisions, and create a communication flow that removes guessing and reduces emotional friction. People say what they mean. Expectations are managed early. And you stop taking on pressure that was never yours to carry alone.

If you are starting to feel that quiet frustration, that emotional distance, that sense of “something is off,” pay attention. It is not small.

Let me tell you something…

At a wedding we planned, the bride brought in a henna artist and guests got semi-permanent tattoos of the couple’s initials, and just like that the wedding favor stopped being something you leave behind and became something you carry with you for days, a reminder that actually lasts.

Most wedding gifts are forgotten before the night ends, not because couples don’t care but because they choose what is easy instead of what is meaningful.

Your wedding is not just an event, it is an experience people carry home, so ask yourself what your guests are leaving with, something they will forget tomorrow or something that stays with them a little longer.

If this speaks to you, then you are ready to plan differently, and that is where we come in.

At Pink Coconut by Kemi the Bespoke Planner, we design weddings that are intentional, personal, and impossible to forget, so call or DM us to book an appointment so we can start to plan your bespoke wedding.

Gotten a chance to see the behind the scenes of a real life wedding?

Not as a guest, but as a creative. To see how décor is actually built, how teams move, how decisions are made, and how structure turns into beauty in real time.

Every month, we have opened up our working environment through our classes. This is one of them.

February ✅
March✅
April (in session)

This May, we are heading to Mbarara🎉🎉🎉 for a 3-day immersive experience where you don’t just learn décor, you see it, you understand it, and you experience it as it happens.

Join the class. Let’s build your foundation the right way.

After all what are we doing….

A guest wore white to my friend’s wedding, the one event where the rule is painfully simple: only the bride wears white.

Not cream,Not ivory,Not champagne, that magically looks white in every photo.

Not prints with a white background ,yes, it still reads as white,In pictures, it ends up looking like you’re competing with the bride and that’s not a good look for anyone.

The bride spent months choosing her dress. This is her moment. Unless she explicitly says otherwise, white is off limits. Period.

There are literally endless other options blue, pink, green, yellow, red, purple, black. PatternsGreat.

Just leave white alone.

Because here’s the thing, she will remember. Maybe not what you said, maybe not what you gifted but she will remember that you wore white.

Respect is free. And some unwritten rules really shouldn’t need explaining.

Let me tell you something…

Your wedding is not a free content studio.

If a vendor is using your day to build their next viral post…you should benefit too.

Not emotionally, but Practically.

A discount.
Faster delivery.
Clear usage rights.
Respect for your moments.

Because exposure does not pay your bills. You already paid for the wedding.

A woman who understands this
does not become difficult. She becomes clear.

If your wedding is building someone else’s brand…
make sure it is building value for you too.

If this speaks to you… save it before your next vendor meeting.

Why?
Because we are Fixing wedding planning in Africa… one conversation at a time.

02/04/2026

Let me tell you something…

What are you spending your wedding budget on?
More items? Or on more thoughtful experiences?
Because those are not the same thing. It’s about time you asked yourself what will your guests actually feel?”

Because weddings aren’t remembered
by how much was there, they are remembered
by how it felt to be there.

At Pink Coconut by Kemi the Bespoke Planner,
we help you design weddings people, feel not just see.

If you know this is speaking into your real life right now…
the link to book is in the bio.

Because, we are Fixing wedding planning in Africa…

Let me tell you something.

If you are going to spend money on your wedding…
spend it on things that stay with you, not just for the day, but for the life after.

Because you just know some things end at midnight and some things live with you forever.

That perfume you wear on your wedding morning?
It becomes memory.

Years later… one spray…and you are back in that room, feeling that exact feeling, at that exact moment.

That is value.

So before you sign off budgets left, right, and center…
pause.

Ask yourself:
Will this last beyond the day?
Will I carry this into my life after the wedding?

And those are the ones worth investing in.

Call us.

Let’s plan the big things, and the small things that last.

Let me tell you something…

The drop waist dress is trending this year, girlies and it is that girlieees!

The structure, the length, the way it just flows!👌🏾

If you are a bridal shop and you are not paying attention…
you are already behind, this is not just a dress, it’a shift.

Our brides are evolving, their taste is sharpe and their eye is global.

They want options that feel current. Fresh. Forward. Not the same silhouettes we have been recycling.

Bring in the drop waist.
Bring in the new cuts.
Bring in the conversation.

Because a bride should walk into your store and feel inspired not limited.

This is your cue to restock with intention, becaaaaaause we are not playing safe this season.

We are setting tone.

Let me tell you something…

Getting to the top is exciting — yes!
But staying there? That is built on everything you survive on the way up.

The long nights.
Quiet seasons nobody applauds, mistakes that humble you.
The discipline when motivation disappears.

Every step is building the person who will handle the altitude that is coming✨.

So if this season feels slow, heavy, or uncertain… you are not lost, you are being prepared.

As we embark on solidifying this season.
This amazing journey.
That is going all the way to a new top! ✨

So honey if you’re in a rebuilding or rising phase, stay the course. Your future clients, your future life, your future self they’re all waiting for the version of you being formed right now.

And while it at…let’s continue to
