Today I came face to face with a Eurasian Sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus) — and it couldn’t have picked a more perfect place to perch.
Seeing this agile hunter up close was absolutely breathtaking. The intense red eye, the sharp posture, the calm confidence… you can truly feel the power of a predator built for speed and precision.

What amazes me most is how quietly these birds appear. One moment the tree is empty — the next, a master of the sky is staring right at you.
Moments like this remind me how alive nature is around us, even when we least expect it. 🦅✨
