Recently went to the Shimen Arch Bridge accompanied by friends to shoot the sunset there. I was bringing in quite alot of artillery (camera equipment) - approx. 40kg of it. There were a few challenges though, one was the tide water, which I had researched in advance, but it happened faster that I predicted, so I had to move all my big camera setups... twice! 😌 Each move also meant restarting to shoot from scratch 😵‍💫 Another, more unforseen hurdle, was the number of people there. The stretch of the beach is quite large, with plenty of space for everyone, so I picked a spot with no people infront of me. But somehow that only made people more eager to be in my frame 😬😂 The sunset itself was beautiful (quite common, as this was 2 days before a typhoon reached Taiwan) - I am however a bit worried if I can recover my hard work in post production enough to remove alot of people walking right infront of the lenses all the time. It was close to 40 degrees this day, really hot (but I love that 😍) - and we arrived around 3pm and left after 8pm, so I really hope I can do some magic later on to turn this into a epic timelapse.

7 years ago I passed by Songshan Station, knowing that one day, I had to shoot a day to night timelapse of this beautiful station. Finally I can now tick ✅ off the spot from my very long location list 📸 📃 here in Taiwan. I rented a damaged UBIKE and temporarily turned the seat around to use it as a prop for this scene. To those who doesn't know, UBIKE's are rental bikes in Taiwan, and if the bike has a problem, you turn the seat 180 degrees around so that they know they have to fix the bike. What appears like such a simple scene, still took almost 4 hours to actually setup and shoot, manually controlling the camera - and at some point when I'm back in Denmark again, additional 3-4 hours to actually assemble, edit, color grade and make the final timelapse perfect will be required. I rolled out around 40kg of camera equipment just for this little scene 😅 I setup the camera to move and pass by the UBIKE 🚲 and reveal Songshan Station as daytime turns into night, while hundreds of people, cars, scooters and bikers pass by. Hello Songshan 👋🥰🇹🇼 (.. Hello Raohe Nightmarket too!)

Japan 🇯🇵 was amazing to me - once again! Tokyo, Kamakura, Hakone, Yokohama and Chiba - quite a lot of places in such a short time, and I was really lucky to have amazing sunny hot weather there - perfect for me, and for my timelapse photography 📸 😍 Got to see good friends in Tokyo, got to find total serenity and inner peace in Hakone and Chiba prefecture ⛩️ 🌳 - Yokohama turned out to be a nice surprise with many great city and sea views, and a fabulous charcoal restaurant which I had to visit twice 🤤 Loved that I escaped crowds and tourist zones even more this time, and that I got to shoot with a tripod in so many places too. Now I'm back in Taiwan 🇹🇼 again, home in my heart - but I am definitely not done exploring more of Japan and their delicious Yakitori 🍗🥩 Do you have any favorite places in Japan to recommend? 👀 🤔

Hello again Taiwan 🇹🇼 👋Happy dragon boat festival 🐲🛶🥰

It feels like yesterday, but since my last hello to Taiwan I was also shooting in Bangkok 🇹🇭, Malta 🇲🇹 and Sicily 🇮🇹 - Time flies! It is good to be back to my 2nd home, and although it is just barely 3 months since I had my dumplings from 八方雲集 last time, it feels like it was so much longer ago 😅 I visited a (to me) new found spot last night for shooting a day to night timelapse, and it turned out really crisp 🔥 Really nice view of the Xinyi skyline. The skyline is changing rapidly these years. I can't say it's the most well organized and pretty skyline I've seen in my life, but I do love the contrasts of old and new so much - this is "my" Taiwan, and because of that it's absolutely gorgeous to me ❤️🇹🇼 Hello Taiwan, my 💗! - anyone know this location? 😏

Getting out of some difficult years in 2023 made me fly straight to Hungary 🇭🇺 and visit Budapest after returning from my first trip to Taiwan since covid in 2023. Budapest, a city I wanted to see and shoot for decades, was finally being explored - and I had a second visit there in 2024, and all that has finally been edited into this latest VLOG, featuring alot of beautiful timelapses from this popular and beautiful city. Find the link 🔗 in the comment.. And hope you enjoy! 🙏

Hi 👋🎂 𝗠𝘆 𝗯𝗶𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 – a fantastic view from the top of Mount Pellegrino overlooking Palermo, Sicily 🇮🇹 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝟱𝟬 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗹𝗱 – also known as the "big 5.0 upgrade" 😄My big birthday passed by quietly during a lovely trip with my parents in beautiful and sunny Sicily 🇮🇹☀️

I removed my birthday date from all social media more than a decade ago. "𝑩𝒖𝒕 𝑾𝑯𝒀?" Well, it started as a little social experiment to see who would actually remember my birthday if SoMe didn’t send them a reminder. The result? Not that surprising – pretty much nobody remembered 😅- But those few close people who did remember? Their greetings felt so much more genuine and real 🎈💝 – so I never turned the reminders back on.

Quite a few people don’t really believe I just turned 50 – they somehow assume I’m younger, based on how I talk, the work I do, or what they see in my photos and VLOGs. But health doesn’t lie. My Crohn’s Disease hit me hard back in early 2020, and many side effects still come and go. I have to stay extremely alert about what I eat and drink. If there’s something special I really want to enjoy, I need to carefully plan for it, because I know my stomach and health might not cooperate.

Reaching this age also makes me feel like I’ve entered the retirement lane on the highway of life 🚗💨 – not that I’m retiring anytime soon, but it’s getting closer. And let’s face it, the time where I’m physically able to move freely around is getting shorter too. I want to make the best of what I’ve got left – to see more of the world 🌍, to take photos, and to keep doing my timelapse photography as much as my body allows.

It was never about becoming famous, making money, or turning into some kind of influencer (ugh, I hate that word anyway 😄).
Whatever I do, I do it because it’s my true passion – something I simply love doing.

I’m not always active here or full of energy to post or create content, so it will just appear whenever I have the time and strength.

And to all of you who enjoy the results of what I do – I salute you 🙌Thank you for appreciating my photography work. It truly means a lot 💝🙏

Next stop?... Back to my 2nd home - T A I W A N ! See you soon, Taiwan!💝

Recently the latest VLOG was released on YouTube from my timelapse journeys to Malta 🇲🇹 Despite I cut it down to less than 18 minutes, I had tons of footage from all my trips there since late 2023. There is so many nice timelapse in the VLOG, and I feel I captured the vibe and essence of my feeling when being there very well. I'm not done shooting on Malta, I have a long list 📃 of spots - but for jow that will have to wait. Each VLOG takes weeks to edit due to all the processing of the timelapses as well. I estimate I spent 70 hours just to produce those 18 mins in the end 😅🤯 This is definitely not something I do for fun, or for money - I do this even more for myself, so I have some beautiful memories of the trips and work I have been doing. If I can make other people happy and enjoy my hard work at the same time, that's just fantastic 🥰 Thanks to all of you following along and supporting with comments and likes 🙏🙇 ❤️ If you haven't seen the VLOG yet, head over to our YouTube and check it out, link in bio - and I can definitely recommend visiting Malta at least once in your life 🥰
