With everything wrapped up, we’re here to give special recognition to those who have poured their effort and creativity into crafting incredible arguments.

At YYDS, champions aren’t just the ones who broke the tournament. Champions are also those who believed in a group of students, who faced countless chaos motions, and who still gave their best every round.

We truly hope you’ve enjoyed this tournament. Thank you, champions, each of you is legendary to us. We can’t wait to see you again in our next series.

Thank you all for being part of YYDS!

It was such a joy to host you, from our party, to feedback after rounds, to all the little special touches that make YYDS unique in Taiwan’s debate scene. Seeing your smiles and energy was the best reward for the conveners.

We are committed to giving our whole heart to this community, and we deeply thank every school, coach, and debater who trusted and supported us. You kept the debate community alive in Taiwan.

We hope our YYDS notebook will remind you that this tournament is not just about debating but about growing, learning, and celebrating together as one community. 🫶

Here’s to more debates, more memories, and an even brighter future for us all.

To Parents, Teachers, and Students,
We are excited to announce the Yearning Youth Debate Series – Summer 2025 (YYDS-WS2025), taking place on September 20–21, 2025. Whether you're new to debating or a seasoned speaker, YYDS is the perfect opportunity to challenge yourself, grow your skills, and connect with passionate peers. Organized by students and supported by experienced mentors, YYDS features motions that are relevant to your world, a welcoming and fair environment, more trophies, more medals, special recognitions, and even cash prizes. The tournament promises a fair, dynamic, and welcoming environment for all. YYDS is not just a tournament. It’s a celebration of your voice.
The tournament will be in a modified World Schools (WS) debate format with 7-minute substantive speeches and 4-minute reply speeches. Each team consists of 3 to 5 debaters.
There will be one prepared round, for which the motion is released four weeks in advance. All other rounds will be impromptu, with 30 minutes to prepare upon releasing the motion.

We hope to see you at YYDS - WS2025, where your voice meets its full potential.
