本競賽的活動目的，為了鼓勵在校學生培養組織、規劃及行動之能力，透過同儕彼此學習與社群的知識分享，藉此提升學生學習動機。在多元自主的學習方式下，激發創新的思維並勇於探索未知領域。
本競賽的主題充分自由，舉凡社會參與、教材製作、營養保健、衛生教育、文創設計及語言學習等等不限，審查計畫書會依內容完整度、計畫可行性與預期成效來評比。
