Announcement: Taiwan Weaponry Art Alliance Transition to Corporate Operation
To all members and supporters of the Taiwan Weaponry Art Alliance:
Since the establishment of the Taiwan Weaponry Art Alliance, we have been committed to promoting weaponry arts and providing a platform for those interested in swordsmanship, fencing, kendo, and other martial arts to connect, learn, and exchange ideas. Over time, as our community grew and activities diversified, we realized that the traditional loose management model could no longer meet the long-term development needs of the alliance.
To better serve everyone with professional services and resources, the Taiwan Weaponry Art Alliance will gradually transition to a corporate operation model and become part of the Weaponry Art Company. The core activities and resources of the alliance will be managed and operated by the Weaponry Art Company to ensure more standardized and transparent development while continuing to provide high-quality activities and services to all members.
Why Transition to Corporate Operation?
Clarify Responsibilities and Resource Management
As a privately owned community, the Taiwan Weaponry Art Alliance previously operated with a loose management style, which led to unclear responsibilities and uneven resource distribution. Through corporate operation, all resources, equipment, and courses will be centrally managed by the Weaponry Art Company, avoiding internal disputes.
Provide More Professional Services
With a corporate structure, we will introduce more professional technical guidance, course arrangements, and a more comprehensive service system to ensure that every participant gains valuable learning and exchange experiences.
Ensure Intellectual Property and Brand Consistency
All technical developments, course content, and brand activities related to Weaponry Art will be owned by the Weaponry Art Company, ensuring that the brand image and intellectual property of the alliance are protected from misuse.
Future Business Model Adjustments
1. Community Retention and Screening Mechanism
We understand that most of our current community members are interested in weaponry arts but may not necessarily practice swordsmanship. Therefore, our community platforms (such as Facebook groups and fan pages) will remain open, but a screening mechanism will be introduced to gradually guide those who wish to delve deeper into the core activities.
Core activities will transition into formal courses and training programs managed by the company, while the community will continue to share information and promote activities.
2. Core Member Recruitment Program
We will launch a new Core Member Recruitment Program to provide a clear advancement path for those who aspire to learn weaponry arts.
Existing community members do not need to immediately transition to formal membership, but those interested in deeper participation can apply to join the core member program to gain access to more technical training and activity opportunities.
3. Public Events and Free Seminars
To spread awareness of weaponry arts, we will continue to offer some public events and free seminars to attract more potential members.
Public events will primarily target the general community, while core activities will focus on those who seek long-term learning and deeper involvement.
Our Core Values (2025 Edition)
To better address future challenges, the core values of the Taiwan Weaponry Art Alliance have been updated and clarified:
Focus on Martial Techniques — The primary goal of the alliance is to promote and enhance the practical combat techniques of weaponry arts, rejecting superficial performances and formalism.
Pragmatism — We emphasize the practical application of techniques rather than blindly following traditions or authority.

Message to Existing Community Members
For those already in the Taiwan Weaponry Art Alliance community, there is no immediate need to worry about changes. We will continue to retain the community’s information-sharing function and offer more learning and participation opportunities to those interested.
We hope that the future of the Taiwan Weaponry Art Alliance will balance broad promotion with core technical inheritance, allowing more people to understand weaponry arts while providing a clear growth path for those who truly want to learn.
