You probably don't know, but I have a Soundcloud page (www.soundcloud.com/deerlorded) I didn't really update it since around 2014. Anyway, I have around 400 followers and 600-1000 monthly plays, with 112000 plays in total. Why?
You may think that I just paid some SMM company to get fake plays and all of my followers are bots, but no. I would never do anything like that. I hate fake s**t. I would rather have 40 real people following me, rather than 40000 bots, just like on this Instagram account, lol.
Well, the actual story starts back in 2013:
Deer Lord was never the name I used back in Russia, it was more like a side project "๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ณ๐๐ป ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ฒ๐ถ๐ฟ๐ฑ ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐" that I've created around 2013 for no particular reason.
The most important trait if you want to be a so-called, "สแดแดส แด
แด", in my opinion, is very simple - you need to ๐๐ข๐ฉ๐ ๐ ๐จ๐ฆ๐๐. Yeah, I know that it sounds like a ๐๐จ๐๐ cliche, but it's as true as it gets. And it was very important for me not to become a snob that only listens to "๐ฎ๐ช๐ค๐ณ๐ฐ-๐ต๐ฆ๐ค๐ฉ-๐ฉ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ด๐ฆ ๐ง๐ณ๐ฐ๐ฎ ๐ช๐ฏ๐ฅ๐ช๐จ๐ฆ๐ฏ๐ฐ๐ถ๐ด ๐ฑ๐ฆ๐ฐ๐ฑ๐ญ๐ฆ ๐ฐ๐ง ๐๐ช๐ค๐ข๐ณ๐ข๐จ๐ถ๐ข" and listen to every kind of genre of music ๐ ๐ฃ๐๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ข๐ก๐๐๐๐ฌ ๐๐๐๐๐ - no matter how cheesy or overplayed it is, no matter how old it is, no matter how weird or abstract it is, no matter if it has only 12 plays on Soundcloud, etc.
If I like it, I like it and it's all that matters!
So as a DJ/Music Lover I've been following around one hundred electronic music labels at the time and downloaded more than a thousand tracks each month. Of course, I actually downloaded and added to my library only around 1/3 of the tracks that I liked myself. Then I've made iTunes and Serato playlists with different genres that I liked - ๐ฟ๐ช๐๐จ๐ฉ๐๐ฅ, ๐ฟ๐ง๐ช๐ข & ๐ฝ๐๐จ๐จ, ๐๐๐ง๐๐๐, ๐๐ง๐๐ข๐, ๐๐ก๐๐๐ฉ๐ง๐ค ๐๐ค๐ช๐จ๐, ๐๐ช๐ฉ๐ช๐ง๐ ๐๐ค๐ช๐จ๐, ๐ฝ๐๐ ๐๐ค๐ค๐ข (yes, I know many people would hate me for that one, but I don't care), ๐๐๐ก๐๐ค๐ช๐ง๐ฃ๐ ๐ฝ๐ค๐ช๐ฃ๐๐, ๐๐ง๐๐ฅ, ๐๐๐ข๐๐ญ๐๐จ and so on. Back then ๐ฝ๐๐จ๐จ ๐๐ค๐ช๐จ๐ was not an established genre, but of course, now it's one of my main focuses.
Anyway, I've always selected the tracks that I liked the most out of all those playlists. And then I had the idea of uploading that selection on YouTube and Soundcloud. But each month I liked too many tracks. The number was close to ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ฌ! But how could I actually make people listen to over ๐ญ๐ฌ๐ฌ tracks and don't bore them to death? I didn't want to just record mixes, it would be too simple... I had another idea!
That's when I've created those "๐ญ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฝ๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ญ๐ฏ ๐บ๐ถ๐ป๐๐๐ฒ๐" videos and uploaded them everywhere I could. After my second video from August 2014 - the editor of the magazine wrote a short critical article about my video. The point was something like: "๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐ฉ ๐ ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ค๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ก๐๐๐ฉ๐ง๐ค๐ฃ๐๐ ๐ข๐ช๐จ๐๐ ๐๐๐จ ๐๐ค๐ข๐ ๐ฉ๐ค! ๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐ช๐ฃ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐จ๐๐ข๐-๐จ๐ค๐ช๐ฃ๐๐๐ฃ๐ ๐ฉ๐ง๐๐๐ ๐จ ๐๐ช๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐ง๐ค๐ข ๐ค๐ฃ๐ ๐ข๐ค๐ฃ๐ฉ๐, ๐๐๐๐!". But I guess that many of his readers didn't get his message and actually liked my video/compilation. I keep getting messages to release an updated version of my compilation almost every month since then, but I'm too lazy to do that I guess. I think I need to update the format somehow if I want to make it more interesting for myself to work on... If it's not fun, why do that, right?
I hope that now it is clear why there are so many plays on those 3 short compilations on my Soundcloud. Since my Mixcloud was never featured in any articles or posts it has only 2 followers, lol. But you follow it as well...
Anyway, that's why my otherwise empty Soundcloud account has 471 followers at this moment. They are real people and you may join them because guess what? I will start uploading my mashups of Taiwanese songs, edits and remixes, and stuff like that very soon. If you are interested feel free to follow my:
