Mekelia is a highly accomplished professional freelance makeup artist, performer, and
mentor with a diverse background in the arts. With over nine years of experience, she
has contributed to various productions and events, including the Flare fashion show at
West Mall in 2016 and notable theatrical performances like "Bitter Cassava," "Crazy for
You," and "West Side Story."

Her journey began during her schooling at Bishop Anstey High School East, where she
showcased her talent and won accolades at the Secondary Schools Drama Festival,
later securing 3rd place in the folk song category in 2018 and In 2020 she was awarded
1st place in the musical theater category at the Trinidad and Tobago Music Festival.
Continuing her passion, she pursued a Theatre Arts Major at the University of the West
Indies while actively participating in the 'Eh bien oui Don Don' performing arts company,
where her skills in costume design and special effects makeup were highly regarded.
In her pageantry journey, Mekelia achieved recognition in various competitions like Miss
Full Figured Teen Trinidad and Tobago and Miss Fabulous Plus T&T. Her success led
her to become an advocate, mentoring young women and raising awareness for social
issues.

Her ultimate goal was to represent her country, which she accomplished by winning the
Miss Plus World T&T national title and securing the first runner-up position in the Miss
Plus World international pageant. Her motivation stems from a desire to be an asset to
society, fueled by her professional experiences and personal aspirations.
This motivation led her to her most recent accomplishment of being crowned Miss La Reine
Rive 2023 a sub-competition within the 60th anniversary of the Prime Ministers Best Village
Trophy Competition.

Sky Academy of Gonzales Village Guapo Point Fortin was officially established in the year 2014. The Artistic director and founder Mr. Keiron Baptiste started his family dance group with 6 members who participated in a number of community activities within Point Fortin. Today Keiron Baptiste and his partner and Co-owner Dana Rambaran, can proudly say that they have built their very own Dance Studio to accommodate their dance company which expanded to a total of 60 plus members. Over the years they have continued to participate in competitions and activities throughout Trinidad and Tobago including the Prime Minister's Best Village Trophy Competition. Sky Academy continues to expand and educate persons about the Art of Dance. Their motto; changing the community one dance step at a time, gives them the motivation to continue their journey.

The Laudat Entertainment Arts Dynasty was established in 2019. At just 22yrs Kenson accepted the leadership role and responsibilities that came with it. He ruled with an iron fist and an understanding heart, he understood the demographic he was working with and created a work patterned that would not only keep his students engaged but very occupied and indeed he did. The students were always booked however members must maintain a C point grade average for the least, this was ensure with school pop up and keeping constant contact with teachers. He ensure the security of his students and implemented that all students MUST open a savings account where 50% of there earning made from the company will go to towards it. But I guess the most admirable attribute implemented by Mr. Laudat were the etiquette and conscious sessions, here the members was taught how to speak, interact and carry about themselves also be very aware of the times and was taught where they came from culturally. Mr Laudat believed in the best representation of his members presently and thereafter. Mr. Laudat as a leader as over leaped his expectations and continuously improving and his leadership skills, he is humble and adhere to his parents and members.

Planting the roots of inspiration in his faith and his Caribbean-ness, 'Gamma Ghost' has steadily progressed on his artistic journey over for over two decades. Born Sterling Kent, Gamma began writing in 1998 and has been a member of various musical groups that have helped nurture his love for positive expression.

Recognising the need to take his message to more diverse audiences, in 2004, he sprouted yet another branch of his creative expression; adding Spoken Word Poetry to his arsenal of hip hop, rapso, dancehall, reggae and calypso. He quickly rose to nationwide prominence, firmly establishing himself as one of the foremost and most sought after artistes for poetic expression. Since then he has quietly forged his path on and off stages, each time bringing his unique perspectives on issues of the day in a way that only Gamma Ghost can.

Zakiya Gill is an internationally recognized cultural ambassador , educator, and one of the most active spoken word artists in the Caribbean. She is a national youth award winner in the sphere of arts and culture and recently was the headline poet at this year’s St. Lucia Arts and Jazz Festival.
