Its an honour to be apart of the Eastyard Amplify Connect Fellowship and Accelerator Program. On Friday 17th October from 8am to 4pm at Arima Community Center. I will launch my creative social project .P.U.M.P.E.D which stands for Promoting Understanding Mindfulness and Positivity that Everyone Deserves. It's not just a balloon twisting workshop its about dealing with bullying in primary school-aged children through build emotional intelligence, understanding conflict resolution and fostering respect and togetherness through balloon twisting. Its a big task but I am inviting you all subject matter experts and interested persons to support this initiative.
Meet Alicia Buckmire, one of the voices you’ll hear at the Amplify Connect: Creative Social Enterprise Summit this Month.
At 41, Alicia is a dynamic creative entrepreneur with over 14 years of experience in children-inclusive event planning and a passion for turning imagination into unforgettable experiences. Her entrepreneurial spark has been alive since childhood, from selling sapodillas and mango chow to hosting playful competitions in her community.
Today, she is the proud founder of Amplified Event Essentials, a vibrant event service brand launched in 2024. The company offers face painting, balloon twisting, balloon workshops, specialty bouquets, event décor, micro event catering, and customizable prints, all designed to bring color and creativity to community celebrations.
With roots in costume design, Alicia began her creative journey on the kiddies carnival circuit under the late Marceline Alexander’s band, later renamed D New Vibes. Her work continues to inspire awe, most recently with a stunning balloon dress that became a crowd favorite at East Gates’ 2024 Easter Parade.
True to her tagline, “Turn up the magic, enhance the memory,” Alicia infuses every project with bold creativity and community-centered joy.
