Plan an amazing party in 7 simple steps.

1) PLAN A BUDGET
It may sound silly but, planning a budget will help you immensely. It will help you keep track of what you are spending to stop things from getting out of control. Set a budget that is realistic for you, not what others expect you to spend.

2) CHOOSE DATE, LOCATION AND TIME WISELY
The time of the day will have a great impact on the vibe of the party and who will be able to attend. If you are holding a children’s party, avoid the time of day that will clash with sporting and other recreational activities.

3) CHOOSE A THEME
To add extra excitement to your party choose a theme, especially for children’s parties. Whether it be a Princess or a Pirate party, the children will have great excitement watching the theme come together. Adults don’t need to be excluded, you could choose a cocktail, a pyjama or a murder mystery party. The possibilities are endless and we will help, every step of the way.

4) INVITATIONS AND DECORATIONS
The invitations sets the scene of the party and introduces a theme. It creates the excitement!
Also, choose decorations that are going to highlight your party theme, whilst providing a splash of colour. Balloons and paper flowers are an inexpensive way to decorate and they look great.

5) ACTIVITIES
If you are having a children’s party, it is wise to include games. Pass The Parcel or Musical Chairs will keep the children entertained.
Forget the games and you will regret it later.

6) FOOD AND DRINKS
A trini party won’t be complete without food and drinks. Decide whether you’re holding a dinner party of if finger foods will fit the bill. Prepare the food in advance so you can mingle with your guest rather than spend the whole time in the kitchen. If you are doing the food yourself, opt for foods that are easy to prepare and serve. Or leave the cooking for someone else and have us source one of our preferred caterers.

7) MUSIC
Don’t underestimate the importance of good music. This can make or break the party atmosphere. Choose music that suits the age of your guest and the time of day. Create a playlist to make things easier or have us find you a dj.

What Does A “Day-Of” Wedding Coordinator Take Care Of?

Have you ever been to a wedding where it was clear the couple could have used more help? Perhaps things were always running late, there were not enough helpers or no one knew what they were doing? This looks bad on the bride and groom, and it definitely is not fun to be a guest at such a wedding. I have been to too many weddings where the couple clearly could have used a little extra help in executing their plans.

Nowadays, with wedding blogs and DIY books readily available, more and more couples are opting to plan their own wedding. While there is nothing wrong with this, one thing is for sure—you cannot coordinate your wedding day!

For couples who have done all the planning for their wedding, a popular service is hiring a Day-Of Coordinator or Month-Of Coordinator to oversee the details.

It is sometimes referred to as “Month-Of” because the wedding coordinator will commence their services about 4 weeks prior to the wedding day. To get familiar with your wedding plans, usually 1-2 meetings are needed to go through the itinerary, to see to the last minute details and what has been discussed with vendors. Reception

2. Think off-peak season and save thousands.

3. Hold your ceremony and reception in one spot—it will cut travel time for vendors you pay by the hour.

4. Skip the Saturday wedding.

5. Have bigger tables so you need fewer centerpieces and tablecloths.

Flowers
6. Use more greenery than flowers.
