On May 30th, 1845, the Fatel Razack docked in Trinidad, carrying the first group of Indian indentured laborers to these shores.
Today, we commemorate the journey of over 147,000 men, women, and children who came seeking opportunity but faced hardship, sacrifice, and struggle. Through resilience and perseverance, they laid the foundation for a vibrant Indo-Trinbagonian culture that continues to shape our nation.
We honour their legacy, preserve their stories, and celebrate the rich heritage they gifted to Trinidad and Tobago. ๐น๐น ๐ฎ๐ณ
