Fifteen years ago, I coordinated my very first wedding—and it wasn’t just for any couple. It was for my (then boyfriend’s) big cousin, Candace, and her fiancé Ross. They entrusted me, someone fairly new to the family, with one of the most important days of their lives. That trust meant the world to me.
I was young, nervous, and honestly—completely overwhelmed. I didn’t realize how much work went into a wedding, especially when your bride lives abroad (let’s not even talk about the vendors who cancelled last minute, dress changes, venue issues, bubbles, and broken glasses 😅). At one point, I wanted to quit. I really thought I couldn’t handle the pressure.
But then… she walked up the aisle. I saw the joy on their faces. I looked around and realized—they’re getting married, and I helped make this happen. That was the moment I knew: this is what I want to do.
It hasn’t been an easy journey, but in these 15 years I’ve learned so much, grown so much, and found confidence I never knew I had. 💛
Thank you to each client that trusted me to handle your event, I truly am grateful 🥲
Here’s to love, growth, and a future full of celebrations.
