We’ve been editing.
Taking things away. Moving things around. Giving beautiful things a little more room to breathe.
Because The Shop was never meant to feel like a store filled with stuff.
It’s meant to feel like you’ve wandered into a beautiful old Caribbean house and discovered that everything you love is for sale.
A book you didn’t know you needed.
A strange little object that makes you smile.
Something for your kitchen.
Something for your garden.
Something beautiful for your home.
A gift for someone you love — or yourself.
We choose things because they’re useful, beautiful, interesting, unexpected or simply make us happy.
There will always be plants. There will always be books. There will always be something a little eccentric.
And when something sells, something new will take its place.
That’s the fun of The Shop at Henry’s.
Come often. You never quite know what you’ll find. 🌿

FROM A PATH… TO A SECRET GARDEN. 🌿
Sometimes you forget how far you’ve come until you look back.
Swipe ➡️
What started as an old concrete walkway and patches of bare earth slowly became the garden you walk through at Blossom today.
First we cleared it.
Then came the red sand.
Then the edging and grass.
Then we planted… and planted… and planted some more.
And nature did the rest. 🌱
Today, under the trees, surrounded by tropical plants and twinkling lights, this little pathway has become one of my favourite parts of Henry’s.
Blossom wasn’t created overnight. It grew.
One plant. One idea. One improvement at a time.
And somehow, along the way, we created our own little secret garden in the middle of Port of Spain. 🌿✨
Keep swiping. The transformation is worth it.

THE TERMITES CAME FOR HENRY’S… 🐜🔨
Owning an old house is not for the faint of heart.
We knew the upstairs floors at Henry’s needed some love, but once we started opening things up, we discovered that termites had been quietly having a feast.
So what started as “let’s fix the floors” became a much bigger job.
Boards came up. Damage was uncovered. Repairs began. And little by little, we’re putting it all back together — properly.
That’s the thing about restoring Henry’s. We don’t want to erase the age and character of this beautiful old house. We want to preserve it, repair what needs repairing, and make sure it can continue to be enjoyed for years to come.
These videos aren’t the glamorous side of Henry’s, but they’re part of the story.
Old houses have secrets.
Apparently, some of ours had wings. 😂
