Client Love Notes!

We received this heartwarming message from our August 3rd, 2024 clients yesterday! The waterworks they started when they reviewed the space was matched on my end yesterday.

There is a special kind of intrinsic reward that comes from receiving feedback like this. It tells us that even after 22yrs in the business, our secret sauce is still working!

It's been 22yrs since we officially started Emerald Designs and Event Services Ltd. and 23yrs since we began our journey as Wedding and Event Planners and Designers. Yes ! We are celebrating our 22nd Anniversary as a business!!

In the 22yrs we have built an impressive clientele and have had the honour of producing quite a few high profile projects and events.

As my father pointed out , building a business of this size and achieving sustained growth over the years, even during a pandemic, takes some skills...way beyond design. Those numbers don't lie.

✨✨Happy Wedding Wednesday Lovebirds!

🗣After working in this industry for two decades, we know a thing or 3 about communicating and negotiating with vendors.
Listen, we understand that things can get tricky
So here's what we suggest you do
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
1️⃣ Do your homework with your fiancé and set a ballpark budget in advance. Set your budget and the number of guests first so that you don't fall in love with a venue or vendors that are out of your price range or can't accommodate the size of your group.
2️⃣ Determine if your personalities mesh well. 
Let's say that you and your fiancé evaluate their work and find that it's top-notch and in line with your wedding style. Great!
It's crucial that you are comfortable around them and that you are able to communicate all your needs effectively.
3️⃣ Ask for client referrals.
The old adage of "you get what you pay for" isn't always necessarily true — you might find that a $10,000 videographer is just OK whereas one that costs only $2,000 could blow you away. This is where referrals come into play, so ask about past clients and find out what their experience was like.
4️⃣Get everything that's included in writing, down to the smallest detail. In order to truly understand what's included in a quoted price, the vendor should itemize everything for you. For example, if you know that you want orchids, garden roses and hydrangea in your centerpieces, then all of that should be listed in contracts.

5️⃣Don't be afraid to negotiate! There are tonnes of thrills and frills you can receive, but if you don't ask, you won't know.

Here are somethings, as a bridesmaid you will want to keep on the day

✔️ Baby wipes, makeup remover wipes, or tissues
✔️ Bobby pins and/or hair ties
✔️ Breath mints. You could even pack a travel-sized toothbrush + toothpaste or floss if you want.
✔️ Tampons
✔️ Advil or any other necessary meds.
✔️ Band-Aids
