Antalya wedding planner tip: one venue can hold your whole wedding day.

This couple planned their wedding from Germany and started one year before the date. We chose a venue with two spaces, so their 60 guests never needed a bus or a taxi.

The ceremony took place on a wooden pier over the sea at sunset. Clear chairs keep the sea view open, and the lanterns light the pier after the sun goes down. After the ceremony, guests walked a few steps into the garden for dinner.

The colour palette was our proposal: orange, coral and pink flowers, mustard linen, woven chargers and dark wood chairs. These warm tones still look right as the sky gets darker. The grazing table followed the same palette, with fresh fruit, flowers and tall candles.

One year is a comfortable window for a destination wedding. It gives you time to book the venue, choose the design and plan guest travel without pressure.

This minimalist approach provides visual definition without walls or heavy drapery. That one hour before sunset creates lighting no artificial setup can replicate. Soft, warm, flattering on everyone. We build in 30 to 45 minutes specifically for couple portraits during this window while guests enjoy cocktail hour. The difference between midday portraits and golden hour is dramatic. Harsh shadows disappear. Skin tones look natural. The background gets that soft blur with warm bokeh. Your photographer will thank you for prioritizing this timing.

For destination weddings in Turkey, golden hour timing shifts throughout the year. Summer weddings might need 7pm ceremony starts to catch this light for portraits. Spring and fall allow earlier timing. We adjust the entire day's schedule around capturing these moments properly. Most couples want to be present during cocktail hour, but this trade-off is worth it. High tide would have flooded the ceremony space, low tide would have exposed rocky beach. We scheduled the ceremony for that narrow window when water reaches the perfect aesthetic distance without creating logistical problems.

Dietary needs:Collect this information with RSVPs, not the week before. Vegetarian, vegan, halal, kosher, allergies - caterers need advance notice for proper preparation.

Beach ceremony bathroom access:Your guests in formal wear. Beach ceremony. Nearest bathroom might be 10-minute walk away. How does this work? Plan accordingly.

Sound system quality:Outdoor beach weddings need proper sound so guests hear your vows. Cheap speakers that cut out or can't compete with wind ruin the moment.

Hair and makeup timeline:If you have a bridal party of 5 people, and each person needs 90 minutes, that's 7.5 hours. Do the math early. You might need multiple stylists or an earlier start.

Vendor meal planning:Your photographer, videographer, coordinator, DJ - they're working 8-12 hours. They need to eat. Budget for vendor meals.

Ring bearer/flower girl backup:Kids are unpredictable. If your ceremony relies on a 4-year-old walking down the aisle on cue, have a backup plan.
